Yippy skippy. This is all falling into place. Good work. Great work. This does not feel rushed, and yet it sure does move. I am a happy camper. We now know that the chief's goose is cooked good and proper. Karen

Garth is too cool for words. I love it!!!! I can't wait to see how Troy and Alyssa solve their problem.
Â
Sammy sighed, "Here's the plan. I'll get Troy inside (sighed.)
Tango interrupted her. "Garth? He's the (her, I like to show an actual interruption, I would write it. "Garth," Tango interrupted. "He's..)
Penny scowled, "A surprise?" I didn't think the Chief and the Cowboy. (scowled. & no quotation mark after 'surprise?')
Poppa smiled, "No problem. I'll get someone (smiled.)
Garth laughed, "And neither do you." (laughed.)

Doesn't it fell good to obtain the upper hand over a boisterous bully, who gets his way with bluster, the best way to overcome this type is by absolute truth, I loved this chapter Carol, your writing hasn't lost any of its spark. Well done, blessings Roy

Thank you, Roy. I've just finished the final two chapters. One is long and the other much shorter. It was difficult to wrap it up with one pretty bow. Now I must proof it and then read, read, read so I can post them. I always appreciate your reviews and of course, your encouragement.

What a sight Richard's face must have made! Lol. Now to find out how Alyssa with react when she is shown more. I think she'll be furious with Troy for not telling her straight away, she could even believe that he deliberately deceived her. You have some explanations to come up with, Carol!! Another amazing chapter. I hope you're nearly ready to post the next part!! :)) Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

Hello, Sandra...
Been writing since three this morning. Chapter 20 is a long one, but I still couldn't fit it all in. But I'm almost through Chap. 21 the end. It won't be near as long. Then I have to read, because of course I am out of money. LOL You always prove to be the top notch writer that I think you are as you read my mind.... The final chapter has Troy and Alyssa and then formal charges against the Chief. Hurrah! I hope you and everyone enjoys it. It's sad to see it end.
Hugs and Smiles and love, Carol

Oh, how I like it when the bad guys are about to get what they have coming to them. And this is one time that I especially like things being drawn out for maximum intensity. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I've never been to pleased to see it may take another chapter (or two?) to tuck this baby in!
It's a visceral joy to "watch" Harrison falling apart...
No one deserves it more!
Very well written chapter ( as they all are!)
Two little things-
*whoops! :)
Is the Chief aware of this?" "No, ma'am. It's a surprise."
"No, ma'am, I'm afraid it's a surprise."
and "crazy characters" strike again:
"...didn't think the Chief and the cowâ?"
Oh, and have I mentioned I think Garth is awesome?
More please!

This is good, very very good. You are laying it out so Harrison is going to prove himself to be the incompetent, crooked, and cruel man that he is. I can't wait to see what comes next.

I am going to really enjoy the Chief's discomfort as Jake appears, and shortly Troy and Alyssa. Everything will be exposed, including his corruption and probable criminal activity in more than one area I have very much enjoyed your story.
Wendy
Edit: Penny scowled, "A surprise?" I didn't think the Chief and the cowâ?" Garth hit it off yesterday." (cowboy)?
.... I don't know how long this will take?" (just a full stop here)

Good stuff, but I'm gonna get right to the edits:
1. Penny's eyebrows furrowed. "Is the Chief aware of this?" "No, ma'am. It's a surprise."
"No, ma'am, I'm afraid it's a surprise." (You have this line twice)
2. Penny scowled, "A surprise?" I didn't think the Chief and the cowâ?" Garth hit it off yesterday." (Fix gremlin, and the quote marks are off)
3. Penny giggled and thought, "A Star is Born!" (My recommendation is to put thoughts in italics with no quotes.)
4. I don't know how long this will take?" (No question mark)
5.Throughout the chapter you say "the Chief" and "the mayor". I think you need to pick which way you prefer capitalizing it and be consistent about it.
I love seeing that jerk twist in the wind!
