I am glad you let the poem lead you where you needed to take your words. A wonderful celebration of your relationship with words, a verse we can all relate to. A good entry for the contest. Best of luck.

Thank you so much for the kind review Ginda!

Ooo, I like that. My yearning paper, very strong. Dripped from my mouth onto my eager fingers, also strong. My only food for thought is to say that you start by saying the words were there deep inside. So I would say you are one and the same. Later you go on to say you became one and the same. A minor point that did not stop you earning 5 stars.

Let me say firstly, generally I don't rate free verse, but this one caught my eye. I really liked how this flowed, it was smooth and delivered a readable message. Well done.

I like it, too! The only word I can think of to describe this is "frantic." I mean that in the best way possible. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

well, if your talent is as great as your enthusiasm, you should win lots of contests and entertain us mightily. Doesn't sound like you will get much sleep, though, with your verse constantly presenting itself.
I'm teasing you. Writing poetry IS fun. Enjoy.

Even death won't end us. What a powerful statement. I agree poetry is addicting. Whether writing or reading poetry the truth will set you free. I love the artwork's way of putting the words on the screen.
Thanks for sharing this positive and uplifting piece with us. I hope your words inspire others to write poetry for the love of writing it.

I thought this poem really interesting, quite imaginative in construction and style. I liked how the words just seemed to be so spontaneous, full of personality, and the cadances were just like a dance of language. The philosophy behind it is also quite compelling; this idea of poetry just taking a hold of you and becoming something alive and inseparable, a part of the soul. It is timeless. It is horizonless. This type of prose like form I first came across in Jack Anderson. I wonder if you have read him. If not, I would suggest The Clouds of That Country, and poems like Meditation on Christian Science Reading Rooms, The Mysterious Sound, and Cafeterias, or the Pencil. This is an exciting kind of poetry. estory

Oh my gosh! You made me so happy with your amazing review!
Honestly I tweaked this poem so much that I didn?t know which direction I was actually going to take with it. Thanks again estory!

An excellent entry for the Free Verse poetry Contest. A personal, yet accurate for many, account of what it is to be a poet. It is a release unlike any other. Good luck in the contest.

Yes---but how do you REALLY feel? (Smile)
Nobody can doubt that you haven't been swept up in the ardor of this genre!
(Is it warm in here or is it your undertone?)
It's fun! If not passionate and zealous about writing, what would be the point?
Original and zesty!

I enjoyed your contest entry, which explains how poetry overtook you and claimed you permanently. There's a nice rhythm to the flow of your words. Good luck in the contest!
