Hello Jeni,
This is very sound advice for us all to remember, however, the shape our world is in today I find it hard not to shed a tear for those who are involved in terrible, horrific wars thousands of miles from this country.
I wish you the best of luck in the contest...Bill

This is good advice jenintorre and I suspect it comes from a place of knowing. We get to a stage of life where we learn the truth of letting the little things flow and fighting the big battles. Nicely done with your 5-7-5 poem and good luck in the contest.

Great words with a big lesson. We fret and stew over trivial things and waste so much time feeling sad and then we face a loss bigger than anything we've ever known... that's when the real tears will fall.

An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 poetry contest. The syllable count meets the criteria. There is a clear message given within the poem making the most of the few words allowed. Good luck in the contest.

We all could take a lesson from your poem and stop worrying about the little things and focus all our attention on the big things. But sometimes, the littlest things bother us the most. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, Jen,
Your well-crafted poetic offering speaks fine truth!
And how I have, indeed, wasted many hours becoming upset "over small meaningless things." Far too much time, I am afraid...
Thank you for sharing!
Best wishes,
diane

Hi Jenni,
This 5-7-5 poem gives good advice. Let the small things go and life is much better and you are much stronger when you need to be.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.

Words of wisdom set down in a perfect 5-7-5 format. And the artwork is just as perfect for getting the message of waster tears out there. A good entry for the contest. Best of luck.

It's the small minuscule wounds that turn into scars that need the crying of tears to help rectify the painful moments of life. So in my mind and heart, there are no wasted tears.
You use the mindset of don't sweat the small stuff mentality and I for one disagree with that attitude.
