I couldn't write at all for months and then some things happened in my life and friends kept encouraging me. I finally sat down at the computer again and bam! The stories just started rolling out. I am so grateful.

You surpassed yourself again. However, I feel you are rushing things between Layla and Jake. I doubt very much that she would think of sex or a love connection while searching for her Sister who is in grave danger.

In all fairness to Layla, I don't think she was even fully conscious of her actions. She'd been riding a high with her success, dumped Ryan, witnessed her sister either abducted or murdered, and got involved in stuff way over her head. I thought of it as a need to lean on someone for their strength... But she unwittingly puts herself in the line of fire. Don't know if that follows with you but it was my thoughts when I wrote it.

So Richard knows Jake is an undercover FBI agent and plans to take him down along with Layla. I assume Jake set it up to look like he was falling into a trap. Great storytelling.

So I wrote this lovely long review for you, only to lose my Internet and the entire review!

The marks the broad (mark's)

I don't know if it bothers you, but it drives me crazy on my articles. That italics is larger than the regular print. I did figure out if you make the font one step smaller for just the italic portion it will match the straight print.

Richard is clearly slime of the slime, and I am waiting for his comeuppance! Jake seems like a nice guy, and I liked the feelings blooming between him and Layla, if they could just survive.
