This is such a lovely love story in the blue forest. I enjoyed the rhyming couplets and the form you crafted. I find the second stanza a bit confusing because the imagery is unclear. - Terry

I love the fast-pace flow of this poem, and the slight fantasy feel to it all. The rhymes are clever and don't sound forced in the slightest. I like the play on the term "mourning" dove, with the whole melancholy tone of the piece.

A beautifully written poem my friend, this articulate work is a pleasure to read. The generally aabb rhymed Tetrametic narrative. You've written a nicely flowing poem, pleasing the heart and soul, well done, blessings Roy

Oh, also, I was going to mention...
And this is not meant to be a ploy for you to read more of my writings, but you might check out my poem Melancholy Moon, it is similar to this one as far as imagery and flow. When I get such lovely reviews I make it a point to read some of the reviewers work. I am anxious to look at your portfolio. Thanks again for your review. It is reviews like yours that keep me encouraged and motivated to continue to share.

I love Mourning Doves. I'm a very visual person so I really appreciate your exceptional word imagery. The presentation is very pretty.

Well done

This is so beautiful, a reflection of the sounds and songs of nature that are so joyful and yet, we often miss them. You remind us of their beauty and their purpose, both divinely created.

What a lovely, cute poem! It is sweet with the subject of the doves cooing and then searching for each other, in the moonlight. Sweet picture too! Great job with this!

I adore doves. This poem tells a story with well chosen words and descriptions that create nice visuals for the reader. I did find one typo that you will want to correct. (Rejoincing, the songs join with aplomb) The word rejoice is misspelled. Very nicely written and the art work adds alot to the poem as well.

This is a well-crafted poem. The poem reads and flows well. Each stanza connects well with the next. Your last two lines stood out to me. Nature has a way of bringing species together. Very nice poem.
