You are really having us on the go here, Carol. It's a great story and you certainly know how to spin a good tale. Now, I can't wait to be reading on
I don't believe for one minute that Alyssa is dead. Ulla xcx

Thankfully, some do! But Richard Harrison will get caught in his own trap, I hope. Thanks for reading another chapter.

This is quite the plot you have going here. It has so many twists and turns that I can't figure out where you are going with it. I will just have to continue reading and find out.

This is another excellent chapter. I can't wait to read about the look on the Chief's face when he finds out what is really happening; very creative. I don't see any need for improvement.Have a blessed day.

And she is right, first she is not missing and then she is declared dead too convinient. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings. This was a good chapter

Great job with the drama here, Carol! You have cleared up Layla's unwanted engagement and now new relationships are blooming with very convenient circumstances with Alyssa's amnesia and Troy's being incapacitated, they can learn to like each other. Jake needs to help Layla and hopefully, someone will expose the police chief's dirty antics soon.

You are doing an incredible job of writing this novel and keeping all your characters in character. The priest behaved just like a good priest should even if he wore what looks like a gang tattoo from his youth. Jake is still the good guy who wants to protect Layla, who is behaving exactly as a good sister should.

It's a reminder so he stays on the straight and narrow. And Yes, Jake is the "knight" to rescue the damsel and the whole town it looks...but don't count Richard out just yet. He has plans. And Frankie might have a few as well.

This is a chapter that was very excellent. I especially enjoyed it because there's a lot of dialogue going on in the characters in the story and it makes it for an exciting story to listen to. I wish you the very best with this book and I know that you will be very pleased when you get it done. Pat.

My silent question was finally answered in this chapter. I wondered if the priest had the tattoo. He does, but Layla doesn't know several guys had that same tattoo. The thing that surprised me, was Troy's reaction to Alyssa. Okay, I'm seeing Troy and Alyssa getting to know one another, and Layla and Jake developing a deep friendship. But, back to the burnt body found in the river. What is going to happen next?

Of course, Richard hopes he can pass it off as Alyssa's since he thinks she is gone...Troy had never met Alyssa because he had only heard that she wanted him to stay in prison because she thought he was responsible for her friends murder. Which he wasn't. When he first saw her, his heart won out over his head. It happens!

Sorry, I got these out of order, but that fills in the gaps in my mind, about Ryan, and that she had definitely broken up with him, and about why she acused the priest. Has Richard also got that same tattoo, or wasn't he included in the boyhood group? How cruel and cunning he is!!!!

He was older than Troy so he wasn't included. Yes, but his day will come I think!
