I enjoyed reading this story. All the details made me feel as if I was truly there. It is an uplifting story to help the reader escape all the things going on in the world and to know that there are really people who care about others. A little kindness goes a long way!

Thanks for the review. This story is also attempting to answer the question, "Who is my neighbor?" -Bill

Yes, I think it does that well!

You, my friend, have summed up the entire Bible in a few lines. If only world and Church leaders understood that. Our hearts and charitable acts define who we are. Going to Church on Sundays is good, but living decent lives is better. We have a conscience and that, not money should provide our guidance.
A fantastic write.

Thank you, Bob, for this exceptional review. I think this story is trying to answer the question a lawyer asked Jesus: "Who is my neighbor?" And then Jesus answers him with his own story, The Good Samaritan.

Indeed. I struggle to find further words, my friend. I agree completely with your last paragraph -- who could live in this world as it is now and not find ourselves lost, yet on some level we all know the address...
Congratulations on a well-deserved win, Bill.

This is a profound reminder that we are not that very different and that our borders of speech and customs can sometimes bring us together to foster a friendship or perhaps break bread with a stranger.
This is a beautiful story! Congratulations on your win, William!

Thank you, John. My only regret is that we didn't trade addresses. -Bill

Sometimes, without a few feel good lessons along the way, we can forget for a short instance that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Thanks for sharing your fine story, and congratulations on your much deserved blue ribbon.

Comment from Gloria ....
This is a fine story learning of the commonality among man from whatever station and location they are in life.
The first thing I thought too was that bread would be more duck food, than fish bait until you presented the way.
Congratulations on your most worthy contest win. :)

The trick was to throw out the multi-hook line, wait 10 seconds and then yank it out of the water and reel it in. We caught so many fish.
Thanks for the review.-Bill

This was delightful to read - how two people who didn't even share the same language yet could overcome the barriers of culture to connect as humans and remember that we all share the same address of Planet Earth. Congratulations on the win!!
