Douglas,

Congrats on your win in the My Muse contest. Your masterfully written poem captures the mystery and magic of one's muse and the gift /he/she inspires in us in our exploration and penning creative poetic and prose writing. I agree that as writer's we all have a talented and inspirational creative pixie inside of us.

All the best,

Eugene

What a fun poem! And I'm glad you have a talkative muse but honestly, I know a few men who can out-talk any of the loquacious females I know! Congratulations on the win!

Ha! I?m the strong silent type. Until I start writing. Then I can not shut up. Go figure!

This is great. Your rhyming scheme is consistent, the cadence is natural and fun. You paint quite the personality; sassy, fearless, unforgettable. Lovely job!

I didn't see this in my mail. Great work. You must be listening to her more. Did you ever read my story "Genoa, Texas". If you haven't you will enjoy it. Your writing has been improving. You must be listening to her more. I am happy to see you are one of the intelligent ones. Those of us that know we have many ages and types of folks living in us, understand a lot other folks don't. I am singing along to Elton John's Honky Tonk Chateau. Karen :-)

My muse reminds me a lot of you. Twinsies!

I was much too humble to mention it myself. :-)

This is proof your muse serves you well. She gave you the perfect words to describe her, and you won the contest. Congratulations. Keep following her lead. This was enjoyable and fun to read.

Thank you! I just wrote what came to mind. It?s odd how much more outgoing I am when I write. In real life I am the silent type. Go figure?

Congratulations on your contest win for this poem about your muse. It sounds like your muse keeps you on your toes and can, in some instances, get you in trouble. lol I believe our muse is born with us and is as much a part of our existence as breathing.

True dat! I am much more quiet in real life. On paper, I am no where near quiet. Ha! You

Some will describe their muse as a female, or even a male, I'm more leaning towards the female side, because she's a little skittish, spontaneously creative, a sometimes unbridled will to share inner most secret, (I keep a lid on those deeply shaming secrets, protecting myself and my dearest ones, except from God, boy is unconditional appreciated) beautifully written Douglas. I perceive your former employ caused you to dump the cynical, knowing God remains your friend and confidante!, well done, blessings Roy,
PS. I Really appreciate the spontaneity of your reviewing marathon.

Oh, how brilliant! I see why this charming poem won this contest! Congratulations! I loved every word, but most especially these:

"Add in a dash of snarky attitude." Your muse is a delight!

My writing side is much more open and expressive than my real person side. Interesting. I wonder if that is common? Thanks for the review, Dawn.

Well, now, I was on board until I read this:

I would guess she's a blatant fiery redhead. Because she's wild, wily, and always well said. Women like that are most certainly un-wed.

My husband would have to disagree with you there...though he will also tell you that he had to chase me and chase me before I caught him.

Anyway, delightful read --zippy and cute and spunky. I hope it does well for you at the polls, Mystery Writer.

Ha! She?s a fiery one! Besides, when I think of you four words come to mind. Beautiful, talented, intelligent, and kind. Women like you are certainly always wed I bet a lucky fella scooped you up quickly!

Thanks for your kind words. This was a fun contest!

Oh, you SWEET TALKER, you!!! Some days he feels luckier than others, I'm pretty sure. Hahaha. But he's handsome, and I'm shallow, so that works for us. xo
