Hi, Barbara :-) I don't know about brave...maybe "just didn't understand the process?" Nothing ventured... Cheers - Aisha

Congratulations on your first milestone post! Your story contained a great amount of detail in very few words, which is impressive. I liked the end, as well. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you so much! After "knowing" Etheridge for so many years, I've become quite fond of the old geezer, so I enjoyed sending him out for others to enjoy. (smile)

Thanks for sharing your fine descriptive writing. You put this reader right in the picture of everything going on. Short flash fiction is hard to write and you do it well. I look forward to reading more of your posts.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Ric! What a great compliment!!! I live in a desert where intelligent, interested feedback on my writing is concerned, so your reviews are very encouraging!

Most writing is, or should be plucked from nowhere, knowing that, I can keep the faiyh, although I will say, I'm posting a lot of old unreleased poems from the past, and they are still fresh, beautifully written, you deserve a chance, good luck, blessings Roy

Good job

This story, Etheridge, is a quick capture of what seems like a lone survivor of what was a long and happy marriage. His glance at an old picture of the pair makes the story clear. Nice.

I didn't really understand this piece. I read it over and over. I do, however, feel like there is a memory somehow involved. It felt like a rough water rafting ride as there was something I was clearly missing.

Hi, Mia - There's certainly a lot left on the cutting room floor when going from 243 words to 100 words, so some confusion isn't surprising. Thank you for reading and posting a review! Cheers - Aisha

When one half of a couple who have been together for a very long time is left to face each day alone, it is sad and empty. Finding the picture of his wife made him happy and he remembered the good days.
