This is a sad poem that resonates with the truth about a breakup. Written as a free-flowing free verse poem in four quatrains of mixed meter. The sentiments ring through with emotion. Then it provides a ray of hope. Very nice.

The first line in each stanza is thought-provoking. Starting the last stanza with similar words - eg Happy to witness the ..... to keep the flow of the poem similar is the only suggestion I have.

This poem is well-crafted. The poem reads and flows well. Break ups are difficult to handle. Your poem gives some of the struggles a person might have with a ending of a relationship. The last stanza turns this around in the message of hope. Good poem.
