I like this. Metronome, known for being steady and rhythm aren't easily thrown off beat. It takes something truly powerful to affect it so. Much like love, and I think this example really adds a strength to the poem. Well done.

There's one very strong image in this poem. I liked the idea of a metronome gone wild. Usually I think of a metronome as very steady and predictable, and the upset of that expectation worked for me.
