Ciao mystery poet, you now have 3 votes.

I liked "Poems Bloom" but ultimately I'm more interested in what's going on in the world today.

This was a very creative approach to a timely topic.

Yes, we are living in a world of chaos. I wish I had a magic wand ..I would send all these warmonger leaders into a room and let them fight it out.

I'm sick of worrying what's going to happen next,
first the pandemic
then the Ukraine War and
now the war in the Middle East.

My favourite lines are 2 and 3.

madmen stir their Cocktails.
Drunk with power.

All these rich people like George Soros (puppetmaster), Bill Gates, and Elon Musk love their money but more than that, they love POWER

to be able to tell people how to live, what to eat ( synthetic food is around the corner), what to think, etc.

Thank you, Tempeste. I liked Poems Bloom too. :) So I'm glad you voted for me. I quit worrying what will happen because I know I can't stop it. What will be will be, but I can write about it.

This piece shows me that one should never have too much power as it will infect you and eventually change something inside of you. And if you are evil heaven help the world.

Mia, power corrupts those that only want to do what they want to, but on occasion, someone with heart shares his or her desire for a better world. There are not many, but a few. Thank you.

It would be nice if it were a peaceful world but there are too many ideas flowing that corrupt the minds of people. If the leaders would agree and cooperate. would there be suffering in the world? Power is not always the answer, it brings mistrust.

Power was given to the people, to choose their leaders, but leaders were led astray and now the world is in chaos. What will happen tomorrow or today is a question that will answer itself. Thank you.

Awesome, you got my vote i like the metaphor of power compared with a drink:"n a world of Chaos

madmen stir their Cocktails.

Drunk with power

they flick and switch then... the lights go off."

Iza, Thank you! You got the meaning and what is happening today. We all are lead into a world without us not having the power to do anything. Still, power in the the hands of men and women. Thank you for the 6 and the vote.

What an interesting poem. Our world is a mess. Nour government is falling apart. I enjoyed this poem. The picture is perfect for the poem. Very good job.

This is an interesting metaphor to depict the behaviour of powerful world leaders who have lost focus on the the needs of their people, or never had it in the first place. Thanks for the share.

Thank you, Navada. :) Yes, those in power forget who gave it to them.

This is an excellent connection between cocktails and drunk with power. And thinking through to the inevitable end, the chaos that existed before will become much much worse after the lights go off. Very thoughtful and well done.
