Thank you, Lisa. Inspiration is a funny thing... sometimes it comes from the outside and, other times from the inside. It is obvious you are sensitive and open to both those magic moments.

This is a well-written, powerful, and solemn piece that eloquently depicts the reality through skillful use of metaphors and well-crafted verse. May we never heed the wolves' call but continue on to victory and safety by God's grace!

That doesn't bode well for the good Christians of the world, but you are right, it does feel as if evil is winning here. How can we stop it? We pray, we try to be good, (sometimes I get angry) It doesn't take much to be good, yet more and more are getting their kicks from killing people. I despair for future generations. Your poem continues down and gives us hope that all isn't lost, not yet, we must fight evil and that way we will get stronger. Excellent, my friend. Sandra xxx

Thank you, Sandra, for your spot-on review. Yes, it will be difficult for our grandchildren to live a Christian life when all of the world has turned away from God. We have faith and hope they will stand firm and remain as a light unto the lost.
Excellent review. Yard.

hmm I liked this apocalyptic end-of-days feeling to this poem about the gathering of wolves and satanic influences before the end times descend upon us all. Good imagery to this profound poem

Thank you, Jake. I find it odd to say, "I'm glad you got it." It is a troubling poem... but with hope.
All the best, yard

Wow, this is outstanding, Yard! I don't know the first thing about poetry and seldom to almost never read it, other than the few of you who I read regularly. And I'm certainly glad I read this one. Just wish I had a six. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Yardier,
This is a well done free verse poem about how to fight the call of sin and the devil. It reminds us we need to spread the word so all of us can get to heaven
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great day

The imagery here of the Devil's howling pack is strong and we all know the reality of it in real life. The wolves may look a little different for each of us, according to our individual challenges, but they are all there. The important thing to remember is the presence of God's mantle, as you described so beautifully.

All through history mankind has had an internal struggle between good and evil. Unfortunately, evil people walk among us, evil hasn't gone away. We are dealing with the worse of the worse people around the world.
Well done.

Thank you, Gypsy. Every morning when I look in the mirror I am reminded how easy it is to fool one's self into thinking, "Well, I'm not that bad." It just takes one compromise at a time...
Your support is much appreciated.
