This twelve-word poem, My Struggling Song, has the required word count and seems to emphasize the "struggling" with the unnecessary inclusion of laboring punctuation.

Yes, struggling is important in this poem. Thank you. But is there anything we can do, at least over a period of time, to help us to cope with life's problems

I think you know me. Your poem probably describes a lot of people. Especially in today's world, we all have opinions, and often we don't share those opinions for fear of being chastised by those who have a different one. So, as you put it, we plod along. I'm thinking we're looking for like minded people so we can preach to the choir instead of doing the heavy lifting of meaningful debates. I'm probably putting way too much into your measly twelve words.

I think you have a good perspective. However, if we realize that our vision is limited and if we do not allow our strong feelings to cloud our vision further, then that opens opportunities. Thank you for wrestling with this poem and for sharing.

This is the human condition and grist for the cognitive therapy mill. You packed a lot of story in twelve words. I felt close to the writer's experience.

Yes, a genuine sense of humor can be therapeutic, with or without a therapist, especially if we can gently laugh at ourselves. I do thank you for sharing.

I love this title. I also love the humor found in the description of a struggle, whatever that struggle might be. I laugh because I work in the school system and I am hoping for one more snow day. This poem fits so perfectly. I will "plod" along tomorrow. Thank you for this!

We teachers (and former teachers...) need to be in touch with ourselves as well as with others (students and really everyone). Nonetheless or because of this, snow days can be a chance for self-renewal. Thank you for sharing.
