I am so frustrated with the news, like you, I sometimes turn it off because I get so upset. The lies and deliberate misquotes have put many new gray hairs on my head.
I am truly afraid for this country, the way it's headed.

I can no longer watch the news, it interferes with my sleep. At my age, there isn't much I can do about any of it but sit back and watch our country crumble. The lawlessness is more than disturbing, it's downright treasonous to allow it. You really don't want to get me started. LOL

I'm with you 100%!!! I've written some things I plan to put on FS, hoping to wake some people up before it's too late. Probably will only get me blasted. There are some dyed in the wool big time liberals on this site.

Congratulations on your well deserved win, Jean. I feel very much like you do. I'm a Republican and a pro-life conservative. I also believe in a strong border and that we should be taking care of our citizens first before the rest of the world. We do that with our families. What would we think of a parent that would spend their money on someone else's children and not care for their own? Not feed and protect them. It's ludicrous at best. I'm not voting for Trump and I'm sure not voting for Biden. Nikki Haley will be getting my vote. I think she'll make a fine president.

If Nikki turns out to be the candidate, I will vote for her but I think it's going to be Trump so he will get my vote. Biden has been a disaster from day one when he overturned everything good that Trump did. What a mess we're in.

This is excellently expressed and I wish more people would take heed of what you say both in the US and UK. My daughter is very interested in politics (age 19) and is horrified by the lack of knowledge of many in her generation who vote like their parents do. When someone takes time to inform themself and then votes unlike oneself, it is hard to discount them - and it makes us all much more rational beings. In this case you and I are wired differently, but I respect your view, the way you have expressed it , your right to that view and the way you reached your conclusion. Bravo!

I just wish people would learn to open their minds to all sides of an issue, they might learn something. Just to vote blindly is not good. As they say, "voting has consequences."

Biden's administration was been a string of failures , Afghanistan's retreat, the provoked war in Ukraine and now this second war which is going to be the death of the western world if Netanyahu is not stopped.
Anyone can see Biden 's mental health has declined and he is not fit to run America.

and George Soros' open society creed has opened your borders,it has financed illegals to get them to and across your border.
Most have been sent to California, Arizona , and New York .. the Mayor of NY has said he will not be running for a second term cause he has no idea how to deal with the insane illegal influx.
I was reading last week the governor in Massachusetts had been using school gyms to house temporarily the illegals , he now has asked parents to keep their kids home to study via internet so the state can use the classrooms as lodgings for the migrants.
And don't get me talking about all this transgender madness that is destroying an entire generation and which your leaders are supporting, they are out to destroy the foundation of our society : the family

As far as I?m concerned we are using our brains ..
the war in Ukraine was lost already in September last year when both the Spring-and summer counterattacks failed.
Yet Biden more than once has tried to send billion still to Zelensky.. thank god the senate at the end of September finally said NO and continues to say NO.
The fighting will continue until Zelensky stops lying and finds the balls to admit the defeat and sits down to hear Russia?s demands.
Soldiers are still dying because Zelensky doesn?t want to face Putin.
EU leaders here instead are still sending money and arms to Ukraine and next month NATO has planned a huge drill of 90.000 troops .
This is madness.

If you're concerned about wars how about bloodshed in schools because the GOP owes the NRA. I am so worried about our country right now and our freedoms. The GOP has had the House for two years and they just fight each other and dangle our finances on a thread nnot balancing our budget.
