This twelve-word poem, Shadows on the Wall, has the required word count and suggests, like the proposed future here, that a person's potential can be seen early and encouraged.

Making puppets is a wonderful pastime when you have your children around. What creative gestures you can form with your hands. It's not always easy to make those critters go against the wall.

This is a very clever and effective use of 12 words. I used to love doing that as a child and I still try to do a bunny or butterfly, from time to time. Thank God for simple pleasures in a complicated world. Excellent writing and presentation! Best wishes,
Alex

I like your incorporation of rhyme as well as the arrest visual images associated with this piece. It's a fun topic to write about! Thanks for the share and good luck for the contest.

Very interesting as I recently saw a Shadow Puppet artist on America's Got Talent. Nicely written 12 word compliant with matching photo to boot. Wondering which came first the idea or the photo inspiration.

This is an excellent entry for the twelve word contest.
You managed to get three rhymes in the poem and it still reads smoothly.
Excellent choice of art work to match.
Well done.
Best wishes and good luck in the contest.

A delightful 12-word poem that brings back childhood memories. I had a friend who could create shadows of any animal requested. I like your use of enjambment and rhyme. Rod
