Wow, this is quite remarkable writing! Hauntingly evocative with horror-filled references and stunning descriptive detail drawing the reader into this uninviting and sinister other world. A sure winner I think. You have my vote! Good luck Debbie

This is quite the descriptive, albeit morbid, little tale. The detailing really creates an atmosphere to this piece.
I saw no errors and enjoyed it, immensely. Good work and great luck in the competition!

Thank you for
The review

This is an atmospheric description of the changes from night to day and day to night. I'm assuming the Twlight Zones are when the transition occurs, but what awaits the unwary traveller in the new realm? Where is it and what kind of things happen there once they arrive?

WE that live cannot know that which awaits us until the night clears in full and the light brings knowledge and ability to make hay. At least, that what I heard said. Thanks.

This is an interesting entry, chock full of imagery made by your descriptive words and enhanced by your engaging picture. I think I got the Egyptian and religious references in your piece. I am, however, in a conundrum about the supernatural nature of your story.
Good luck! RFL

Hmm. Twilights are rarely thought of as onerous events, but rather peaceful transitions between the light and the dark, and herein, though not a real horror to experience, the captured bugs and the owlish delight were disemboweled by an unearthly force.
P.S. - I only thought of this with your comment, and re-reading the challange. Thanks.

Love the description it's so real and you can feel it with your soul:"
Within the advent of these brief vaporous minutes, shadows writhe through the trees and in-between structures, penetrating every nook and cranny, like the fingers of death did, metaphorically written, when Herod sought the death of all newborn males." Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Glad you enjoyed ut sufficiently to add a review. SO few people do, and especially with this challenge as I think many did not understand what it was the originator expected.

This time of day definitely has a mystical quality to it, which you described beautifully. You highlight that this is when predators come out giving it an ambience of dread. I love the Scots term for this time: gloaming.
Well-written creepy-atmosphered piece!

Yes, there are those twilight times when many realms join for their share of the day or night. What a wonderfully written story. Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.
