Post traumatic syndrome can certainly take over. Without the help of a qualified Ph.D Physiologist this can go one forever.
I know a bit about this as my husband, now retired, work with several patients that were dealing with this.
He provided what is called short term therapy and the good news is that all his patients got the wish they were hoping for and that is to happy.
I loved your story!!

Hi there,
What a touching and poignant story. I do believe that those of us who suffer from mental illness continually wish we could put it away from us and those who love us.
Thank you for sharing and Good Luck in the contest,
~MP~

How true your notes! We forget that, if our hearts are open and willing to help heal, then sweeping changes can be made. Directing aggression at oneself is not the answer and can only make resentment greater. Your wishing well story skilfully illustrates the power of the heart to influence our lives for the better. Well done and good luck! Debbie

Loving ourselves must happen before we can love others. Several people have struggles and don't like to talk about them. That's why it is good to write and make a wish at a wishing well. Good therapy perhaps.

Such beautiful story with a deep insight!! It's nice to know someone else feels the same way I do, thank you for such a moving piece!
What we think we want isn't always what we get but it always seems we end up with what we really needed all along. I hope you keep this up!!

This is a beautifully written story that you have presented us with today. I enjoyed listening to it very much. It was very moving and it's well written with good punctuation. Your sentence structure is good everything about it is really very good. I wish you the very best of all of your writing. As one who has suffered from my mental illness, I totally get the jest of the Story. Patricia.

This was a long read, and to be honest I think I lost the main idea. But the end made it clear, sometimes the solution for granting your wish it's under your nose. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and the contest.

I love the messaging here, that the chance for liberation is to look within. That's not to say that there can't be many other great services and people around that provide help, but as Grandpa learned in the story, sometimes it's just the way you phrase the question and where you put your emphasis that makes the difference.
