I've a feeling there are references I'm not catching here, but nonetheless there is striking imagery in this poem--it reminds me of Delicatessen, if you've ever seen that film. An interesting read!

I enjoyed this poem. Diving a bit into the understanding of humanity. How the world treats itself. In the end only to be consumed like red meat, as we ourselves are on the food chain.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure this out. And I failed. It's like a complex riddle. I kept having Sweeney Todd come to mind. Thanks for the challenge! I just wish I knew if I was overthinking it...

I have to be honest...I want to eat steak right now. Nicely written.
I do have one question tho. The beginning of line three, should the i be capitalized? I only ask because I know structure and grammar differ for poems.
Other than that I really enjoyed your poem.

Aww man, don't piss off the butcher! Is there more of a story behind this one? We have a great butcher shop down the road... I would be heart broken to be shadow banned with bad meat.
Despite being about meat (though maybe there is a deeper metaphor underneath)
It definitely has a very somber and serious emotion behind it! There is at least a silver lining at the end! We will all be slim with pride sitting on the side
