I love this poem. So simple, yet powerful and thought provoking. The picture also reminds me of the many forest fires around the world. Well done. :))

Lovely poem and full of hope. We certainly need hope these days all over the world. Thank you for sharing your personal story. I'm so sorry for your collective losses. Sending you my best today as always,

Look at you go for the L, M, N, O and P! (You could have chosen any letter for that last line, but the consistency works with the theme here...
Nature is amazing, isn't it? Don't count it out. Even in burnt-out thousands of acres of land we find new growth...
This is a message for our ability to push through all adversity!
Very nice!

The growth of the spring leaves and trees are abundantly growing everywhere where the fire was once triggered. Like your poem as it shows the firing pain that was present.

A fine but sad reminder of those terrible bushfires. And yes, the renewal that nature is capable of is actually very inspirational. Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

Thanks so much, Wendy. Yesterday I happened to be driving from Yarra Glen to Kinglake and Whittlesea, right through the heart of Black Saturday territory, before heading home. It was a beautiful but eerie drive through the thick forest.

Ciao mystery poet , you now have 3 votes!
Mother Nature e' tenacious , it will find a way to win against the odds : green sprout from burnt stumps , between concrete sidewalks , in the desert .
We have exploited and polluted our planet , we are now reaping the bitter consequence.
Fortunately, Mother Nature is strong and no matter how severe are the damages She eventually makes a comeback.

It is amazing how even in a stump of a tree there is still life because the life is in the roots of the tree. I have seen this happen more than once, and it is so true. Patricia.

What a cool problem this one is really nice! A fine example of the ABC poem and also speaks of very relevant issues today in Australia how much drought and climate change can cause fire and mayhem and so on down the line it rolls. Well written poignantly done with a fine message. I see no issues with Grandma aesthetic subject matter or sentence structure great job find submission I hope you have an awesome day!

I think this is a superb entry for the ABC prompt. It is uplifting as regeneration is presented along with a photograph of a blackened area where fire once roared as it was attacking a lush forest.

Inspiring words from Downunder. Reminds me of my many wanders around Oz. I once did a forest/timber trade show in that area and visited a few mills.
"Good onya" and Thanks
