Exceptional

You immediately tell the reader about the major by the way you have described different aspects of him. You have handily used metaphors & similes along with your other techniques. Your story is not all about pretty panpipes You have some gut to your story. This is a not simple plot. It runs very much like the shows I am drawn to. Thank you...I'll be back

I hope Bapit can soon redeem himself in Ayesha's eyes, bless him. Not only does he regret doing what he thought he was supposed to do, he probably wouldn't have known what to do after that part!

Ayesha needs him, she doesn't really have anyone else. I suppose Major Suttiku couldn't really charge her with murder, not now. I do worry about that poor doctor though. He is right to worry! Another excellent chapter, Tony. :)) Sandra xx

Thanks again for reading and responding to this chapter, Sandra. Poor Bapit has much to overcome before there's any prospect of a happy ending. Ayesha, too

Wow, Tony, you a spinning a wonderful tale here. It beginning to be difficult to know who you can trust and who you can't. I would certainly never trust the Thai police. And poor Ayesha is certainly a victim of a great conspiracy..at least that's how I see it. Ulla:)))

Yes, the major is definitely a hard boiled egg and Ayesha seems to have been drawn into the hot water with him!

Poor Bapit. I don't know how someone who was born and raised there could be so innocent. He doesn't seem to have been sheltered. And the rest of the characters are such scoundrels! Not sure about Ayesha yet. She may not be as bad as the others, but she's nobody's fool.

Thanks for your review and comments, Cindy. I think Bapit is fairly streetwise but sexually naive. His life, in that respect, has probably been sheltered.
At this stage, I'd say Ayesha is more sinned against than sinning.

Well done. Quite an intriguing story. But remind me not to visit Thailand. I don't think I would like it - at least not the places Ayesha and Bapit visit.
I have to admit, though, I couldn't figure how Ayesha fared being penniless.

Thailand is a fascinating place. Wonderful people. However, the world is full of rogues, especially the world of fiction! As with many places in the world, the tourist industry spawns some pretty unsavoury places.
Ayesha wasn't penniless for long. The proceeds of the necklace sale were close to US$1000, and she won her bet at the boxing stadium.
Thanks for another motivating review. All good wishes, Tony

I thought Bapit got her money. Guess I missed something.

Rapid is in a lot of pain. Poor guy.

Thai coffin ritual for Bruno is very creepy, I hope he won't be buried.

Well done, Tony

Hello again,
Great! I really thought you'd spare Bapit, so, again, a great twist.
I expect the grannies will have you for not putting a caution on this part, you know: "Caution, Sodomy Ahead", or something like that. (Heaven knows what it would look like as a road sign...)
Tony, there's been superb attention to the technical detail throughout, and I must compliment you. Not heavy-handed but light, and enough, and relevant enough, for the reader to know (or believe) that you have done your research.
cheers

phill
PS:
"...to believe he was returning it.Then, realising how foolish..." missing a space after the full stop
"...In the meantime,' Suttikul continued..." and it appears to have ended up here as an extra space after the speech mark.

It's good that Ayesha is more human than the "spider" that Somchai seems to be likening her to. I guess both of them are worried about Bapit. But why didn't the police chief accuse her of murder? He had to cover his own tracks, I guess. Another interesting chapter!

Thanks, Helen. I think Major Suttikul may have something else in mind for Ayesha.

Ugh. Poor Bapit. I was hoping nothing bad old happen to him but he paid the price for trying to drink away his problems. This was another great chapter. If Aeysha had touched Bruno, she would have felt him warm. A "dead" giveaway. Great story. Gretchen

The only hope I can see in this story is the Lieutenant, he clearly despises the major, I'm not sure what the point of the plot is, but already the very thing that marks these cultures is the corruption that probably it's poverty that probably marks it's culture, probably not enough check, beautifully written, blessings Roy
