This was a very in the moment poem. I could sense a hand moving across the sheets, searching for that body they crave. It was very palpable. Passion and exhaustion intertwined. Gretchen

What a wonderful tanka, Gypsy. This was an interesting picture which showed the young woman wrapped in a sheet. Your words mentioned that the bed was on fire. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Well, the night is dark and moonless but the heart is on fire and the passion continues. So it doesn't matter what goes on outside, the flame of passion is what burns bright.

I am slightly enthralled by the poem here. It sparks images in mind. I feel a yearning for I don't know exactly what when I read this, but a yearning none the less.
