Wow this poem rhymes as short as it is. Is there any way you can make your poems more longer?
The poem is well written. Since I know nothing about poetry even while reading any poem by anyone which makes it difficult for me to know what to say or how to comment on it.

Thank you so much for your kind review. As the brief was 2-4-6 (2 syllables, 4 syllables, 6 syllables i.e. 3 lines) the poem had to be this length otherwise it would have been disqualified. I hope you related to the content. Thanks Debbie

Oh ok thanks for the explanation see? I told ya I know nothing about poems or poetry lol.Did I lie? LOL
-
That's ok. These are weird briefs we get. Sometime they state no more than 8 words.... So you don't really need to know too much about poetry and you should try entering.
-
Yeah I was thinking of entering some of my other poems I had done into a contest here.
-
Yes you should because that's the way you learn about what the members or the committee are looking for.

Fits the rules of the challenge, and says something about the situation we all find ourselves in these days. Congratulations on something both short and sweet.

Hope, like faith, is the desire and expectation of specific outcomes. Your creative and inspirational poem tells us that the hope of our prayers can bring forth light out of darkness. Best wishes in the contest.

Two wars with no end in sight. Mankind never stops killing each other. It is a foul business.
This is a strong piece for so few words. Without HOPE there really is nothing.
God Bless

Excellent 2/4/6 poem for the writing prompt Debbie. A timely topic for both this world and the next. Without Hope, where would we be.

I believe this tiny piece of writing spreads the most hope to all of us who are listening. Words do indeed mean something and this one says it all!

Debbie.
I agree whole heartedly on prayer to the two wars currently at hand in Israel and the Ukraine. Prayers in darkness will hopefully see the light.
Fantastic 2-4-6 prompt entry. Good luck in the contest.

A rare review of a shortie for me, but this one made me sit up and take notice. I am sure that the Ukrainians and the Israelis are praying in the dark.

I like how the poem unfolds like a flower, and the rhymes at the end of each line seem to carry the flame of hope forward, growing ever brighter, as the lines lengthen. Good use of form to underscore theme. estory

Yes indeed, we pray in the dark, and there is no better (or finer) way to light up the darkness. Your wee poem has a profoundly important lesson in it, IMO. (Prayer comforts me!) Nicely done, my friend. Good luck in the contest!
