Jealousy is getting in the way until Emma finds out the 'other woman' is Seth's sister. It's a natural reaction for someone who is just learning to fall in love so Seth's maturity is welcome here.
Scary stuff at the police department. At least Emma is spared the ordeal of the creep's trial, and everyone can move forward.

"Seth eyebrows rose" should be Seth's eyebrows rose

Emma should not jump to conclusions before checking out something she witnesses.

Seems this psychopath stalker thought he had everything figured out, except meeting someone who took him out.

You're right. It should be 'Seth's'. I have made the correction. It always amazes me that I get over 30 reviews and still there are mistakes. Thank you for the catch. I appreciate the help.

I can tell why this piece of work was rated as exceptional. Emma's journey through terrible trauma in her life, and hearing about things like murder and rape can take a toll on anyone's perception of our world. This is when our dependence on God shines through anything else, because he will lead us through the struggles, and into his kingdom of light.

Well, this is a surprise to me. I opened this second part of Chapter 26 and enjoyed reading your dialogue structure. I always learn something from your characters and how they speak to each other without a lot of frivolous banter. Their conversations are believable and I found my self wishing I had read the previous chapters to understand what led up to Chapter 26.

And then, the surprise unfolded further. You have a very good understanding of the psychological and criminal nature of a stocker and the patterns of their devious methods. You could have embellished the horror of a prowling rapist much like Steven King. I'm glad you didn't. You stayed on track with the values of humanity and faith.

A most excellent work.

And now I'm going to have a cup of coffee and finish cleaning the garage.

Thank you.

This is quite a chapter. It starts out really pleasant with the arrival of Seth's sister, even though there was some confusion at first because Emma didn't know who she was. The conversation at the beginning was very good, and there were some good comments about Seth.

You really turn things around after that. The whole story about this creep who had been stalking women, including Emma, was horrible. I'm surprised you were able to hold it back for this long. I am glad you didn't include details like a tabloid or some TV news would. It was unbelievable that he could have intruded into so many lives like he did. I can't imagine how Emma must feel.

I'm surprised they can just go about normal business after that, but it was probably for the best. It will be interesting to see where the story goes from here.

He's dead and as Seth said earlier, so much has happened, he's not sure Emma has fully felt the impact. I think Pastor Pat's counselling will help. Thank you for the kind review.

You are welcome for the review. I was thinking about counseling; it might take some time to get over all of this.

LOL Emma will soon have a new problem. Go figure.

You couldn't give her a day or two off; she has been under a lot of stress, and needs some warm fuzzies😊😊

This is another great six star chapter my friend. I agree with the quote. It is not about sex, it is about respect and getting to know each other. Great descriptive words. Thank you for sharing! love and blessings, Teri

Coming along nicely. You are correct about the number of words. 4,000 words is too much for Fan Story. Good to keep it down. the font and spacing etc is great. Makes it easier to read. Take care and have a wonderful day.
Cheers

Well, it shows the strength of Emma's relationship with Seth to overcome two shocking revelations - one a misunderstanding of who Abbey was and the other the danger that both Seth and Emma were in because of Casey. And that they will just meet after teaching classes and have dinner afterwards is a surprising resilience and trust.

You introduce Seth's sister here, and also show in that scene how jealous Emma is inside, and how she still has issues of sharing him. But he is slowly overcoming those obstacles, and she seems to be fitting in with his family, which is a big step. The real meat and potatoes of this chapter is the meeting with the pastor and the stalking information. This ratchets up the tension and suspense quite a bit. The details you put in here about how this guy stalks his victims, his obsessive jealousy, and how he kills his victims really casts a shadow. She seems a bit calmer than I would imagine she would be. I think there should be more panic. But the suspense in how this is going to be resolved keeps us on edge waiting for your next chapter. estory

The man is dead. She has nothing to worry about. I think part of Emma's problem with Seth is she doesn't think she's worthy of him. Thank you for the kind review.
