Wow. Very well thought out and implemented. And as always, I appreciate the background information following the rhyme. I would have never thought I'd read a rhyming Winston Churchill bio and enjoy it, yet...here we are. Well done.

An admirer of few, the most noble flawed with countless imperfections. Sir Winston Churchill came long before my time, yet his talents and character left an everlasting impression. Thanks for sharing.

Portrait of a man who exhibited faith and courage in the darkest of times.- his many and varied achievements entwined expertly here through poetic stanzas- has my vote

Your picked one of my heros. I visited the "war room" when I was in London.
His intelligence, strength and sense of history saw England through WWII.

This was great. My knowledge is a bit weak but didn't Churchill leave office a bit disrespected? For all the greatness he personified, his legacy became somewhat tarnished by a changing of the guard.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! And yes, you're so right. After the war, there was an understandable reaction to the aristocracy which Churchill, of course, represented. So the Labour Party was immediately elected before the Conservatives came back into power in 1951 under Churchill. By that time, he wasn't a well man and was seriously weakened in his role as PM and facing domestic unrest, breakdown of the Empire/colonialism, George VI's death etc. Many thanks again.

What a poetic and detailed history of one of the most dignified and admired individuals of our time, Winston Churchill, full of facts I hadn't known before. I think I'm a lot like Winston Churchill, for many have said I'm a hack writer!

That was very educational. To hear all the things he did and accomplished. It didn't roll off the tongue too well, and I stammered trying to read it because I counldn't stay in the flow. history is trying to bury the great heroes and we need to keep them alive.

Thank you for sharing this tribute to Winston Churchill as a contest entry with us. I do remember him, although I was young. We actually had a cat named after him. I know he was controversial, but I enjoyed reading. Good luck with the contest.

Hmm. I wonder who wrote this? Lol. x

He was a boyhood hero of mine, and your poem certainly reawakened that worship in my mind, even though history has been cruel to him of late.

Well done and good luck.
