Ciao poet, you now have 6 votes.

Last night we got a sprinkle of snow and this morning when the sun came out the pines were sparkling like gems.

The sun is gone now and the sky is covered with clouds ..some more snow is forecast tonight at 21.00 and at 24.00.

We have had very little snow ... hopefully, we have a white Christmas.

This is a really interesting image. I live in a region with mild winters and we only occasionally experience a frost, so the concept of freezing rain is quite a foreign one. I like your analogy of diamonds and their sparkling quality.

Thanks for your kind words for this contest entry. I live in the northeast so our winters are not THAT mild. Jack Frost also paints on the window panes.

Your words and presentation make me feel a little friendlier toward the mix of cold and wet. As much as I dislike the cold, I have always appreciated those icy masterpieces on the foliage.

    Nicki,
Thank you for your review. Those icy masterpieces are always a joy to see, but not necessarily to feel.
