Pets often know how to manipulate their owners and we all fall for it.....
Great photo and so happy to actually see the dog you are writing about.
I just love your entry for the club event...

I thoroughly enjoyed this post! Animals are such unique characters and despite their individual quirks (or quite possibly because of them), we love them so dearly. I'm between pets at the moment - I lost my dearly beloved fur baby Sally in September, which was devastating, but am now looking forward to bringing home little gorgeous little Burmese kittens in January. It will quite the lifestyle change going from a mature cat to two babies again, but I will love it and them!

The loss of a pet brings grief that few understand. We are often closer to them than to any human because their love is unconditional. I am sure your new kittens will bring you a huge amount of joy, happiness and fun. Many thanks for your lovely review and for the six shining stars.

You have such a charming way of making Sunny such a lovable creature. No wonder you want to spoil him. I let my cats rule when they come in and go out and where they eat. Oh, pets are such a blessing, and their charms are so hard to resist.

They are such a blessing and a joy, it's natural we do whatever we can to keep them happy. He is lovable. Today I had to take him for a checkup at the veterinarian. He doesn't like going, so he insists on standing in front of the glass automatic doors so if anyone comes in or goes out he is ready to head out again - that's if I have succeeded in getting him inside in the first place. I am so glad you enjoy his stories. Many thanks for reviewing.

This story was so funny and cute I laughed several times. Sunny knows you well. He knows you won't let him starve, and that he will ultimately get exactly what he wants. He sounds like a spoiled toddler, but a happy toddler. I'm sure most of the time, Sunny wins.

Absolutely spot on. He's like a spoiled but happy toddler. But for the last three nights he has eaten his food from a plastic plate! Lol. Maybe I will win after all. Thank you for a lovely review!

Lol how funny. I have a rescue dog who used to live on a beach in Greece with her siblings. When we first got her she would not drink out of a bowl only out of our hands!!! Dogs are funny creatures but so wonderful. Your dog sounds delightful!!

Thank you Wendyanne. That poor dog must have never seen a bowl. They have their quirks but give so much love and fun and happiness. Thank you for your lovely review!

Well Sunny sounds like he has you wrapped around his paws, Wendy. I do often wonder why dogs like to rub smells on themselvesm, I've never heard of that with snails before. A cheeky little cutie.
Well written Wendy.

Your dog has done a bang-up job of training you. He allows you to have a few victories now and then, but he has an ulterior motive. Maybe he wants to be served at the table. I have a nine-year-old; our dog waits under the table and tonight got half a hamburger. Do you think the canines could be planning to take over the world?

Lol. If they took over the world there'd be a lot more unconditional love and acceptance, and loyalty. Your dog is just as smart as mine - half a hamburger - that was a bounty. Sunny doesn't like being up high, and never wants to be on furniture so I don't think he'd like to be at the table, but he will sometimes sit at my feet and look up adoringly. I have to face the other way so I can ignore his pleading eyes. He's already at his maximum weight. Oh yes, I am sure he has lots of ulterior motives, and he knows what a sucker I am. Even the egg and milk started one night when he was off his food. I offered him an egg instead. He loved it, and from then on, he counts that as a necessary entrée. Crafty. Thanks so much for your super review - I enjoyed it.

Your Sunny is quite the clever manipulator! Who is to say what triggered this children's placemat fixation? I often wonder what goes on in the minds of our pets! You almost had me convinced you'd had a breakthrough. I think he has great fun toying with you!
I am hopeless at human chess... I'd be in perpetual "checkmate" with Sunny!

Yes, I think he has fun playing games with my mind! And in chess, I'd be checkmated all the time. I would really love to know how and what he thinks. Thanks so much for your lovely review.

What a lovely review, Tina! Thank you so much. He is a personality, for sure, and knows his own mind. But a bowl that he has happily eaten from for more than three years? Rejected. But he will still pick up scraps from picnic areas. Lol.

I get his quirks, sort of, because my cat wont step on, lay on, even touch a blanket in the house that the dog has laid on, even once! She smells it first then turns away.
Animals...go figure!

Lol. You are much too nice and Sunny knows it, too. But it's so peculiar that he would be so fussy about how his food is given to him. Most dogs just inhale food whenever it is offered on a plate or floor!

He will pick up dropped food at a picnic ground and not care if it's a day or two old. But eat from a bowl that he has happily used for three years? Not any more. Who can understand what he's thinking? Many thanks for your kind review. Yes, he thinks he's boss and can make his own decisions! Lol. Thanks so much for reviewing.
