LOL, gets my vote. There are several good poems in this contest. But yours did strike a funny bone. There can't be any good reason to lose such a woman...unless, of course, that Red head comes along owning that liquor store. Well done. Terry.

The prize which means the most to this old man is when somebody starts their review with LOL. Texas-sized thanks to ya! It is small consolation for being married to the world's meanest woman, but I appreciate it! Please advise if you find my dream girl...

Reese, I'm 4th generation Texan. Living in Allen now, I will keep an eye peeled.

I thought I remembered that. Now, are you with me and the Horms come Saturday? This is the most excitement we T-Sips have had in years. Wife and I just moved from some acres twix Brenham and Bellville to a postage stamp in a 55+ community near Katy. My biggest issue? I am 75 and having a bunch of 55 year old kids skate boarding past my yard is disturbing. Anyway, Merry Christmas!!!

Lol, I bought into a condo community, over 55, a couple of years ago after my wife passed away. I got a couple of years on you. But I did see a red headed checker at the liquor store today.

Actually it was sort of pink, purple, and chartreuse. I don?t think she owns the place.

The good news is she is 50 years younger.

The bad news is she is 50 years younger!

May I share the whole story? It was our 30th wedding anniversary. We were out to dinner. As we sipped our drinks, I said, "Darling, you know i love you and have been faithful to you, but I am going to leave you.. She smiled, sipped her margarita and asked, "when?" Not why, when. I said, "it has has been a wonderful 30 years, 3 daughters, lots of adventures, but I am ready for an upgrade." "To what, to who?" she laughed. "I am looking for a redhead who owns a liquor store." Well, it has been 16 years since that evening and I have not found my dream gal yet... and, my wife has been helping me look! Just no luck. So, I remain stuck with the world's meanest woman and paying for my own booze. I tell you, life can be unfair! Thanks for your interest. I needed somebody to talk
    to...

You are one lucky guy if you can get her to do all those things for you. I did get a big chuckle out of your form and enjoyed it very much. 25 years of marriage that's pretty cool. God bless and keep that marriage working or should I say keep that wife working. Patricia.

On the other hand, Miss Patricia, when my wife refers to me, she adds, "good help is hard to find!" I am a Texan who married a yankee - I had been drinking... But, she claims she was even drunker cause she said Yes. We have been married 46 years - had I just robbed a bank, I could have been out after 10. But, it might last... You take care of you! God Bless

Something must?ve touched both of you for you to been married for 46 years. That is fantastic. My husband and I were married for 37 years. But he passed away 28 years ago.

I do not believe that God has time to manage such small affairs, but he must have some angels with a sense of humor. Great to hear from you. Get well soon.

Lol very funny!! This is a very different version of "How shall I love thee, let me count the ways" that EBB wrote but I love it. I love my hubby when he's doing the housework and baking bread etc but, to be fair, I do work 12 hour night shifts and he doesn't have a job. Love your poem. Good luck.

Great to hear from you! These are challenging times, for sure, but y'all have a working partnership and love makes it work. Me and old what's her name have made it 46 years, good times and not-so-good, but I would do it again. Best to you and yours. Merry Christmas from Texas!
