Oh my goodness. This is an amazing write. I love it! If I nly I could have voted!
Seriously, this introspective perspective is important, lofty spiritually and really does shine for Him. He gave you a talent to write for Him. So lovely!

Thank you very much. Your words are great encouragement. I've published a number of books of poetry, always with a section to honor God. I just published my final one, but I'll continue to write. God has been so good to me. I always love meeting a Christian sister.

I sometimes find spiritual poetry a bit sickly and simplistic but I really like what you have done here. I don't know if you know George Herbert, the seventeenth century priest poet, but this is certainly reminiscent of some of his writing. A beautiful ending. Very clever. Well done and good luck. x

I love your review, and I'll look up George Herbert. Actually, the ending came to me before I wrote the poem, and the rest just fell i place.

That is a very clever and interesting poem. I was nodding as each stanza unfolded and then there was a delightful twist. He alone is the most important. Well said. I hope you do very well in the contest.

I appreciate your great review, Wendy. That was my challenge poem for FaithWriters this week. Our word was "amend," and as ideas ran through my head, the last line came first. Then all I had to do was build up to it. I don't think I've written a poem exactly that way before.

This is a lovely tribute to many things of much value. I liked the choice of visual image to accompany your words as well. One little thing to fix - there is a superfluous "I" in the opening stanza. Your devotion comes through clearly in your words and we sense the underlying drive that has influenced everything else you have experienced in life. Thanks for sharing this.

Very, very cool Palm nicely done a great running scheme too, and you have followed the rules. You can do what you like and you have cart launch creating a lovely poem with God at the end. I see no issues with sentence structure consumption spelling Subject matter, it all looks very good to me! Beautiful ending. I think it's well done and finds some submission to hope you have a great day!

That really is a statement of faith! I love your poems. I was just smiling about your poem about the little girl baptizing her cat. And you're right about any work we do - it's all about the Lord - to Him be the glory!
Best wishes in the contest!

You have a fine ear for poetry and this flowed along with great ease! It's a lovely verse spelling out your achievements but never in a boastful way, just a very grateful and joyful celebration of your life, essentially inspired by faith. Nicely done, Verna, and good luck in the contest! Debbie
