This is a powerful and clearly-rendered piece. Dreams and the way they unpack our subconscious are fascinating to consider. I agree with your author's note - I would personally have much more belief in God's voice reaching me through a dream or vision than through human agencies such as psychics or mediums (I've never trusted these people). I'm glad that this article spoke to you. You mention psychics and mediums, both are mentioned in the bible as people to be avoided. God can certainly speak to us in various ways, sometimes dreams and visions and sometimes in a still, small audible voice that we hear as a thought. I was in a plane crash in Alaska once, and two days before when I was flying in rough weather I had prayed that He not let me die in plane crash. I felt like He said I wouldn't, so emboldened I asked that I not drown or burn up either, and He assured me I wouldn't die that way. Two days later the crankshaft on the plane I was on broke and I landed in the water of Lynn Canal in February. I'm here to speak of it, so I am sure that God speaks to us. Thank you for the excellent review. I agree with you, we aren't guaranteed an amount of days on this earth. The dream certainly had a chilling effect on me. If I recall correctly, I was giving some thought to how I was living.

I know this is a ridiculous question, but when the elevator stopped, why did you assume it was going down to Hell? Was there a sign that said Hell, with a down arrow?
maybe the dream meant since, in your other dreams, you were excelling in sports and flying, you were getting overconfident, "they" were going to take you down a peg with the elevator to Hell?

It's not a ridiculous question at all. It was the fact that the man rushed to push me out of the way and the speed which it descended, and in part, it was an implied idea. I believe it was a warning from God, though I was a Christian. Whether it was a warning for me or others I can't really say. Thanks for the excellent rating.

Thank you for the excellent review. We never know when our time on earth is going to end. Death often comes unexpectedly. We all have an opportunity, as long as we draw a breath, to turn to God and repent. I truly wish everyone would.

I seemed to understand them, though there was no actual talking, and they said what a shame I was and that I wasted my Life.

Thank you for the well wishes and the excellent rating. The dream was terrifying and gave me a lot to think about. I'm thankful that the Lord doesn't leave us to wallow in our sinful life, but goes out of the way to speak to us.

Thank you for the good wishes and the confirming words. I believe God still speaks to us in dreams and visions, we just need to be open to hearing, and then having heard, to act.
