I never celebrate Halloween, Alie. For me it's another day or night. To celebrate is not in me. Though children have fun and dance around in creepy costumes, getting sick from too much candy. There are sick people too that spike candy with drugs. They celebrate evil.

This is an odd little poem which includes some rhyming and repetition. However you have changed the tense from future 'they will' to past 'they dressed' and haven't really led us anywhere. I think you need to tell a story with a poem, if possible, whereas you have just offered a brief description. Having said that you have described Halloween well so good luck in the contest

This poem to me shows you enjoy Halloween. From the black cat to the last line of the poem it felt seasonal.
Though pink isn't associated directly with Halloween, somehow it worked.

Here in Australia Halloween has only become popular really in the last 10 years so a lot don't celebrate this
More for the younger generations than us oldies

5th line down, I think you want "and they will" instead of and their will
"They dressed in spooky things TOO" (instead of "to" in order to imply "also")

Interesting that you title it about a black cat... have no mention of a black cat ... use a strange pink color... maybe fir the fun part of Halloween? Just didn't seem to quite go together. I did like tge premise but just needed a little more cohesiveness.
