Does that make you a "niece rescuer"? Ha! Great entry for the One Sentence Contest.
Not sure how you did, but I bombed out on that one. But, a lot of people laughed at my piece so that is a win in itself!

Thank you. Yeah, I bombed out, too. I did come in third but it was winner take all. It was a fun challenge anyway.

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the silly writing. It really is my goal to outlive the cats and my dog. My dog is fourteen, my oldest cat is twenty-two, and the youngest is six. That means I must live to be ninety or more.

Wow that's a long sentence and I see it is not fictional. Your words are very true. If we take on animals then we are ultimately responsible for them for the rest of their lives. You have expressed your thoughts and feelings well.
