Don't you just love Miranda? I do, I'm hoping there will be a book 3. Anyway, that was a fabulous ending to this part, Lol. It's good that Mitch did this, he's worried about Miranda, as are most of her friends. And it's good that Miranda and Carrie like each other. Carrie is sure to help our girl. This is another wonderful chapter, my friend. Well done!! :) Sandra xx

I love the sense of humor. I couldn't help laughing at that closing line. It seems Mitch is determined that Miranda is going to see a shrink one way or another. Great ambush. He's lucky she stayed. Great job making Dr. Tate so personable. Miranda may even get to like her.

Miranda likes Dr. Tate but she's very stubborn. Thank you for this. Gretchen

"You can't hate someone with dimples. It's impossible." Hahaha you are right, dimples are adorable. My granddaughter has them.

I really enjoyed the chapter.

Well done! I look forward to the next chapter.

It is no wonder I like you and your work. You sound like me! hahahaha I just love the way Miranda thinks and talks. I thought he was going to say that Ms. letter writer had escaped! I owe you one more.

Lord help us all if Missy escapes. She would make a beeline to Miranda and beg for help. Thank you. Gretchen

I don't know how I missed this last week; my apologies for my tardiness. This is fantastic! It moves right along, and the dialogue is PERFECT! Carrie seems like a perfect fit for Miranda [btw, just for the record...I have dimples. Did you know this about me?...]

I did notice this one lone, teeny tiny spag: The sentence that begins "I study the yolk..." The next sentence with the words "it's little dome," delete the apostrophe there.

I'm feeling relieved that Miranda IS seeing someone at last...and that it's someone who's such a good match.

Great job, Gretchen.,,you know, like always!

There's a big difference in a bone and a hand grenade as far as an attention getter goes. LOL. I can always count on you to brighten up my day and put a smile on my face. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I'm glad you liked this. Problem with grenades is sometimes the shrapnel gets you as well. Gretchen

lol This is excellent writing and authentic interesting dialogue. You have good descriptions and imagery to help a reader follow your story. I don't know your story well but I truly enjoyed reading this chapter.

Best wishes,

Alexandra

There's nothing better than sitting with my coffee on a beautiful morning and catching up on this saga!

Let's see: Arron is home from religious boot camp, and Miranda is still convinced someone is messing with her, leaving Dougie's brand of beer bottles where she can find them.

Old man Sterling, hmm? There's still something more to him than meets the eye. (Well, at least my eye). The flowers were nice but a bit strange!

Mitch sets up a meeting with a department shrink at breakfast with Miranda and apparently has pulled off what he's set out to do!

But!

Miranda asking to meet Carrie Tate at Haynes Pond was a bit offsetting and is an intriguing hanger for the next chapter.

You are one of my favorites, Gretchen! Inspirational, for sure! Best, JohnC

Hello Gretchen,
I think I liked this chapter more than any of the others so far. Of course I'm plumb out of sixes, but the sentiment is there anyway. Hopefully Miranda will be able to sort out her demons. Thanks for sharing gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

I actually feel sorry for Mitch. He's way out of his league with Miranda, but I love them together. Thank you for sharing another part of the story.

She waits until he steps away before speaking. "Why don't you want to talk to a professional?" (comma after 'speaking')

He is in over his head. I have a feeling he crossed a line with her this time. Thanks for this. Gretchen

He'll beg and Miranda will forgive him, but make him suffer for a while.
