The current day ending note - I was not done with him yet - sounds ominous for your story going forward. The runners, sitting in the same spot waiting for your feet reminded me of visions of storms, and my own experience, among the chaos some stuff remains untouched.
cheers,
valda

Thank you, Valda! It is funny how storms behave. You know we one thing untouched and the other just is pornatals independently skewing about. Thank you again. I'm happy to have you with me. Reading along, it's very helpful. You must know his validation for all the years of denial thank you again my friend!

Thank God for small wonders when it seems all hope is lost. You still had your water bottle, and your runners were in tact. You survived the storm, but your troubles are not over yet. You have thus far shown unbelievable strength and endurance. Now, for the cliffhanger...him. Uggg.

The rabbit hole goes very deep on this story. Yes, I did have a bit of a reprieve but I also gained intense knowledge. That's hard to keep under raps but I shall write about it soon. Thank you again! I always like your reviews!
    Thank again!

Wow. This took me right into the brambles and chaos that the storm bestowed in its aftermath. Terrifying. I loved the way you found and acknowledged the small miracles: that your water jug was intact and retrievable, and that your runners had not been touched whatsoever. Truly amazing.

I hate the thought that this has left you with no other option but to return to 'him.' Ugh. The will be such retribution and scorn lying in wait.

The next chapter will tell you where I ended up not ideal but better than the beast in my room.
I had to follow the path laid out before me since there was no other alternative. Those three things the water jug the can about the getty in my runners the three things that saved me. One more small miracle comes to greet me. There in the rain in a phone booth, I made the next turn..... Thank you again, Rachel. I shall carry and I know in my heart and when Ive written the end. So it shall be. Thank you for holding up the mirror and showing me that the purpose for my life is so much greater and higher than I knew. I just want to put a neon sign over your head that says "you want something real? Here she is." A true friend...

Okay; that just made me cry. Thank you for those really kind words. xoxox

A friend of mine died of lymphoma a few years ago, and she had a sign in her living room that read: You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice. That is you, Miss Remarkable. xo

That is who you are to me. Red hair, a flaming sword slices into negativity and injustice and says "Oh ya? Try me on for size!"

Well, now it's a new beginning. Again, I have every confidence that you will find your way. It's a miracle that your water was saved. Small mercies are sometimes the best.

So Lea, you were determined to find your way back from whence you came. You describe it so very well, and the mere effort of it all must have been one upward struggle. I'm intrigued. Ulla:)))

Thank Ulla! I remember well the struggle, a lot of it. I could not let my mind go to what came after only what was immediate that was getting out. Thank you again for offering your comments for reading on for your interest! I hope your day is amazing!

Vividly expressed as ever, the challenge is not the decision but the way to execute it. It's not going to be easy and will take all your energy and practical skill but the reader has faith in you as you embark on the next stage. There are some small edits: "But I could (n't?) give in, I wouldn't give in.." "I couldn't articulate the words at (the then?); "If I was to succomb to...(punctuation after 'then'); " I looked around some more I was shocked and pleased..." (please look at this sentence which doesn't read well and needs punctuation). Loved "picked, climbed and snapped my way.." All progressing well with your usual impeccable momentum. Debbie x

Hi, Debbie, thank you again for the fine catch. You have a meticulous eye which I appreciate every time. What about a couple of simple says with the sentence you mentioned above and also a punctuation. I hope you're doing well when you're having a great evening! I'm so glad you like this. I hope you're having an awesome evening you're watching your favorite show and you're relaxing. Thank you again.
Don't let the bed bugs bite LOL!

Another excellent, poetic and utterly dramatic episode in this sad and traumatic journey. But we trudge on, desperate for more light, love and friendship, and a rescue from your life.

I have a couple of good friends and there has been light in my life. I have two successful sons out in the world. My husband passed when my sons were six and two. They continue to make me chuckle with their antics. Thank you again for another fine review and fine rating. Too hope you have the best of evenings again and another great day to follow!

This post is all the picking up the pieces of what remains of your temporary home and trying to find you way back to civilization. As you usual you have us with hoping there will be some light at the end of this dark place in your life.

All things pass in their time this one did, too. My life at its best was confusion and at it's worse, yes death was a real possibility. Thank you again Beth. With one answer comes six more but the questions beat them to the punch. Thanks again I hope you enjoy your night!

Sounds like small favors, like finding the water jug in reachable distance, were just what you needed to prod you to keep going and not give up. How easy that would have been to do.

I can imagine how disoriented you were. Was this a large woods you could have become lost in and not found your way out of?

Oh, no! Sounds from the last like you are in for another confrontation with your stepfather. I was hoping you'd be completely done with him. Let's hope you beat him this time, Lea. - Jim

Your note at the beginning is poignant Lea, we put a great deal of pressure on ourselves to be super human sometimes and to combat problems we face like a warrior when we are only human. I think fighting the elements was easier than facing the alternative here Lea. You showed yourself to be consistently brave throughout this ordeal, love Dolly x x x

You are absolutely right probably the only reason I could was that the alternative was worse.
I never really felt brave about anything. I was always scared all the time, I always thought that made me cowardly. I know now being brave does not mean the absence of fear. It just means the unwillingness to accept the alternative. Thank you, Dolly, once again! Thank you so much have a great night!
