You have used the required words very well in this contest. I am glad my vote proved useful. :-) The current tragedy instigated by terrorists is beyond human understanding. Their brutal treatment and the death of innocents is pure evil. I am glad you posted this creative entry to bring about more attention to what needs to quickly end. Congratulations on your success! (Sadly, I have no sixes left.)

Your kind words are six enough. The cries of "bring back the ovens" and "by any means possible" are the hallmarks of genocide. We can not sit on the sidelines and watch as did many of the Germans under Hitler. Besides, there are no belief systems, political views, or perceived wrongs that allow for the killing oc children and raping of women. Fires me up.

I can understand why this poem won the contest mentioned as it is very powerful and well written. The format works really well with the subject matter as does the repetition.

Your poem speaks of the uncertainty facing society today, the sense of all this order spinning out of control, and the sense that we are being swept up into events and an outcome that seems abhorent to most normal people. "By their works ye shall know them," Jesus once said. It seems to me the whole world is hanging by a thread over the field of Armageddon. estory

I sadly, must agree with you. The Bible is unfolding right before our eyes, yet the blind can not see.

You certainly poured your heart out, and expressed yourself passionately and eloquently. Will these horrors ever stop? Perhaps...If everyone spoke up and condemned them. But then again, we're not talking about rational thinking, so common to extremists and zealots.
Well done.

Thank you. You thing it was to intense for FS? People like the puppy/kitty stuff. The kids in Wisconsin were yelling kill the Jews. Really upset me. Evil is evil.

There are many very nice writers on this site, who prefer to write about cute animals, love, nature, spirituality, and lately celebrate each other. They have a point, because poetry is a refuge of sorts. There are a few of us who are more pragmatic, and our writing reflects it...there should be a place for that, too.
Personally I'm grateful you stood up and spoke your mind. Evil will only proliferate if good people don't speak up against it.

    Passion often equals intensity.

Unfortunately in war there are no morals, no mercy and no consideration for others. It is a harsh regime of killing and suffering. Your poem is powerful and highlights so many good points here, a fine entry for the contest, love Dolly x

Thank you, Dolly. I suspected it was too intense for the contest, but it is actually holding its own. Appreciate you.

Wow, what a powerful and heartfelt poem. You have great passion about injustice and prejudice. The color patterns are good, the imagery profound! There are so many subjects you brought up, but they all spell the same thing...hate, pure and simple.

Thanks for sharing,
Rhonda

Thank you, Rhonda. Maybe a little too intense for the contest but we shall see. I feel strongly about the need to stomp out hate and promote love in all things.

Excellent entry for the 3 words in a poem contest. Your poem is engaging and easy to follow.

Good for you for bringing attention to an important contemporary war. So many atrocities, it's heartbreaking.

Well done. Good luck in the contest.

Yes, I don?t consider it political, but humanitarian. The world needs a rewind. What happened to Love?

This is a clever presentation with your coloured font, asking these questions, in fact pounding these questions, forcing the reader to take note and recognise the tragic slide leading who knows where! Your three words are seamlessly embedded in the text. But I think you mean 'anti-semitic?' Good luck in the contest! Debbie

Outrage, panic and conclusion. That is what I took from this. Thank you for this! Emotion is absolutely riddled all up and down this passage and for good reason. This world is home to such horrendous things. It is too much for the mind to fathom sometimes and frankly, I don't understand it. But this is spot on

Thanks you. I really think that the world needs a rewind. We are focused on ugly and hate when things like Love and beauty should be our goals. The absolute horror of ?by any means necessary? is unfathomable. It blackens the soul.

    Thanks for the thoughtful review.
