Hi Sharon,
This poem is so true. Those homemade ornaments make the tree so much more festive. And they bring back good memories.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Congrats on placing second in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Putting up the Christmas tree always brings back fond memories of long ago and I have some ancient decorations that haven't seen the light of day for a few years. I enjoyed your uplifting poem full of great rhymes, a magical post, love Dolly x x x

Lovely sweet poem. Jaunty rhyme and rhythm emphasise your vital message that it is not the quality of designer ware but the heart one reads in a makeshift article. Well done.

One aspect of the meaning of the Christmas season beautifully delineated here - memories of former Christmasses held close here in the ornaments of the tree.

I enjoyed this reflection upon the ornaments on your Christmas tree and the history and happy times they evoke. When it comes to any form of Christmas decorations created by much-loved children, the quality of the finished piece runs far second to the memory of its creation and everything that it signifies.

What a sweet poem this is, It paints not just your memories, but our collective memories of dressing our trees with simple, homemade ornaments that tell a story of love and togetherness. Your words flow and rhyme well.

We lost our granddaughter a month ago, but I still have a box full of her handmade ornaments that will take a special place on the tree this year. What a wonderfully written poem. Good luck in the contest.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Still a bit early for me but your image is magical and your verse is rich in festive detail. I too love the fact that each ornament can bring back a memory. So many Christmases, so many memories. Your tree is probably like mine, weighted down:) Good luck! Debbie

This is a delightful Christmas poem written for the Christmas poetry contest. I like the imagery, ie, "A tinfoil ball shining bright,
popsicle stick trees, such delight!
And picture frames made from jar lids
hold photos of my little kids".
Good luck!
