I would have liked to have known more about this 'unseen shape' but as the subject of the poem is "A Deep Secret" I guess you are limited to what information you can give. Good luck with the contest.

Hi mystery writer! You've done an excellent job of creating a deep secret, or a deep mystery. I've never heard the myth before, but I like it. I could almost see it as an allegory for a hidden part of yourself you're not sure what to make of. Either way, intriguing post.
