Reconstruction? I am not sure I know what that means. You write poetry well. You also have a large vocabulary and a way with words, I enjoy reviewing you. Karen

You are so sweet to take the time to read my lines that flow from my mind like water over the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington state. Thank you.

I enjoy reading your work. Keep writing and I'll keep reading. Karen

Hmm. Reconstructed? Maybe not. There might be another solution. Ageing brings complications when it comes to physical love but there are plenty of ways of maintains true love. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, indeed, and though it may be tiring I let my wife know constantly that she is the fire that keeps my loving embers warm even when I fall from the fireplace. (No, I haven't been indiscreet with anything but my thoughts of her.)

Despite not wanting to over spoile you
You just melted my resistance with the flowing enchanting rhymes
And scary story
Water on a flame
Succint. :-))Z

Hi Tom,
This is a well written free verse rhyming poem. It tells of the times when love fades in a relationship and how we have to work to get it back.
It is a great photo.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.
Have a good rest of the week.

True love never dies, and nor should lovemaking, expressing and desiring our feelings for our loved one is natural, very well written, the temptation for natural desires is very well written here, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Entertaining and fun way to look at aging love. I see it as more comfortable and even sweeter as we know accept the warts, failures and no longer have unrealistic expectations. You become that old slipper, warm and comfortable even if you are worn down round the edges.
Best wishes,
Mary

Oh my goodness. Reconstruction? I think I'd find some other way. Lol. This was a fun look at the art of love as it ages. Still hope in the trenches I guess. But out of weapons. Great piece that was both risqué and funny. Gretchen

You nailed the bullseye on what I targeted ... I guess. It was written lovingly in fun for my missus is a tease regardless of our respective age. She' s ten years my junior.

Oh boy...
"it" reconstructed?
Sounds painful but may be well worth it in the long run of lasting affects.
We try to get bolder as we get older and hope not to be smoldered for sure.
Nice work, Tom.
Best of luck in the contest.

Reconstructed? Oh my, that does sound painful. Tom the poem is very well written. There are probably some guys who say, "I feel your pain." But honestly, those are not the guys you want to hear from. Terry.

Whatever. It?s somewhat another fractured fairy tale. The way it ended left the story open- ended. It was meant to be funny. Always yours

A fun verse with your temptation brief. Clearly, mentally tempted by your lovely wife but not able to keep the old fires burning, you've gone through a bit of an hiatus ending up doing the obvious and asking for advice. Goodness knows, what sort of reconstruction you're in for but, hopefully, there'll be a sequel to this fine verse:) Good luck! Debbie

It happens to everyone in life, in work, sports, and whatever but
We learn how to circumnavigate and find other venues to occupy the mind.

Knitting's a good one:)

Hahahaha
I have chosen writing instead. Love is spiritual and can overcome any physical challenge
All is well
