What a fine submission this is and a great chapter too. Its Clear and concise, I also think that your characters are vibrant. They got some meat to them, and they're believable in their dialogue and their action. That to me makes a great story. Great notes, too, gives us an understanding of who. What and where if you're coming in Reading from the middle.
Having said that, I see no issues with grammar, sentence structure, spelling subject matter. Well put together, obviously, we'll find out by a talented writer. Thank you for this, I'll be looking for the next one. Have a great night!

Oh, there will be gossip all over town after that public peck on the cheek. You still keep us on the alert wondering who is lurking around Emma's house. There are several possibilities. Once we know the motive, we can narrow it down, but Seth might have to catch them first. Or, maybe Ace will.

You're allowing us access to Seth and Emma's inner thoughts a little more in this chapter. I like that.

As you know, I like dialogue - it tells us what people are thinking and keeps the pace of the story going. This was another good example of that.

Of course, we know who's lurking about the neighborhood. But Seth will take care of that. (Or maybe I don't know - maybe it's actually Peggy!)

Yay! Seth kissed Emma! Even if it was only for show to keep Ronnie away, it was their first and it will probably work! Now we have to wonder who it was that was wandering around Emma's place that night! Great job with showing us the increasing romance and the open communication.

Ronnie is going to be a pain, and he seems like one of those people who are controlling and won't accept "No" for an answer - in fact quite like Peggy Barton. Can you organise a match between those two? Interesting and positive development for Seth and Emma.

Edit: Ronni walked up to Seth and offered his hand. (Ronnie)

I found this to be a well written chapter, especially when Molly was bouncing around barking at something. Hopefully we will find out what in a next chapter or two.

Seems, the relationship is maturing a bit on Emma's part.

Good chapter...
Cheers.

Another wonderful chapter, Barbara. I'm so happy Seth and Emma seem to be getting closer. I can't wait for their first kiss. I wonder why Emma and Seth dogs were acting weird.... like someone was around.

Well done. I love your book.

Ok. I see Seth is showing more interest in Emma. I see some trouble coming from the over confident Calhoun. He seems like the kind of guy who would never believe his charms could be resisted. Great chapter, thoroughly enjoyed. Gretchen

I do wonder if Peggy and Ronald are related, or there's just a shortage of dating available people. When Ace was pacing, my first thought was, open the door and let him out, but Molly wasn't let out, so I thought no one will be caught tonight. Meaning: I would think about how often you tease with this stalking.

Well written chapter.

This was an excellent chapter, Barbara. Good tension was maintained throughout the period while they were trying to find out if someone was outside her house.

As they walked, Emma leaned her head against his arm. He glanced down. "Tired?" Leave it to Seth to take the magic out of it! LOL.
