As usual this is a very interesting chapter as Seth and Emma talk about their desire to find someone with similar values. Emma just seems to attract weird guys as I suspect that is that is what has upset the dogs.

Oh, this generation. Good thing these young people have an running program or they will be so fat they would have problems getting in and out the Police Cruser. Good one Barb.

This is an excellent chapter and flows well from scene to scene. It is a lighter mood in the beginning when Emma mentions she wants a dog like Ace. Then Miss Sadie arrives and wonders where her dance partner is. A little later Seth and Jake walk in and Sadie gets her dance.

The mood changes when Ronnie walks in, and we wonder if trouble is going to start, but luckily Seth is at the door. Ronnie certainly thinks a lot of himself, but he is also a person to be very wary about. I like how Seth handles things and gives Emma a kiss on the cheek. I like Emma's comment about it looking like they were dating, but I think she understood what was going on and why.

The tension increases again when Molly is acting strange as if there is a big threat to Emma.
Molly is small but mighty! I wouldn't be brave enough to look out the windows. The ending is very good and shows the potential of more than a friendship. They are actually able to discuss their feelings, even if it's briefly. Well done.

Hi Barbara--I haven't been dropping by FS much but did so today. Of course, I had to visit you! I've always enjoyed your writing. Your style is always tight with dialogue to push your reader through. Great characters as always!

I've only read this chapter. The flow of dialogue and the sequence that states or implies causes and effects is well done. If this is in large part a story about relationships, it might perhaps need some ambivalence of feeling; the development seems to follow too smooth a course to keep it as scintillating as perhaps it could be. But there are tensions and anxieties to keep the pot boiling.

Thank you for dropping by and leaving this kind review. I tend to build the romance very slowing, making sure everything is in place for a lasting relationship, not lust.

Another excellent instalment in your story, Wendy. It is the dialogue most of all that makes this live, and gives authenticity to your characters. Such accomplished writing. Well done!

I feel there was someone hovering around Emma's house. He must have hidden or left because of Molly's bark .I liked Seth's belief that one should not apologise for one's belief ...he is so right .I am getting fond of those two.

Well, they seem like a perfect match, Seth and Emma.

I think his bad girlfriend must have been a real mess. Time for a good one.
We shall see. Nice addition.

All the formatting looks right Wendy - and I didn't notice any typos or spacing problems. Another great chapter, and you packed a lot into it.
Nice to have a kind of 'cabaret' with Sadie's dancing, to lower the tension in the story. But Ronald Calhoun feels like an instant threat and seems to be setting up as a classic 'stalker'.

Seth and Emma have been for a long time now the perfect match, but you are being so clever at building their relationship slowly - frustrating for all of us (by design) and shades of some Australian soaps - but better!
I think that they have a long road still to travel!
Look forward to the next part.

Paul

Thank you for the kind review. Some reviewers want them in bed already. I disagree.

In bed already isn't in the way of your style - it would certainly spoil the story.
