I am re-reading chapters I might have skimmed through before to make sure I understand the later chapters in your book better. This chapter is interesting because of the chocolate-almonds and bicycle incident that made it seem like no matter what high goals you yourself had, and how much you worked honestly, that you were not going to get to keep anything that was rightfully yours. The latter part indicates to me that you had a spiritual and intellectual sensitivity to what was going on around you, even when they were people you did not know well.

You work is engrossing, and yet incredibly disturbing and, like I wrote, heart-wrenching. I can just picture you selling the chocolates, and how thrilled you must have been to have won the bicycle, only to have your parents steal it from you and pawn it for things they wanted.
If I may offer one suggestion, I would omit the part of your story after the long line of ******* and save your ability to know things for another installment. Let the reader absorb the scenario with the bike and your aunt.

Thank you so much that's a really good idea I think that's smart too! I so appreciate your compassion, your kind words and your support. It means the world to me and I'm happy people are getting something from my story. And if you wish in my portfolio, there's the beginnings of my book called "Ghost". These chapters will be added to it. You are more than welcome to read. No need to review. I've never really written anything until last fall. I just threw in a poem just to see what would happen and people liked it. So when I wrote this auto bio, it was with trepidation unsure how it would be received. But the support I have received from yourself and others, I'm so very grateful you have no idea. I will keep writing because the wellspring has been sprung.

The story told is rooted deep within many a mind from back in the days when children were more abused without anyone taking or reporting it.
Sorry for your hurt, but venting it may be a release well needed after all these years. Good luck.

Wow, Lea! I'm becoming more and more absorbed in this frightening and fascinating story you've begun to tell.
It was so disheartening to learn that those adults in the know still didn't lift a finger to help but made shoddy excuses. It may have helped you to talk to your aunt, and it was nice of her to bring you clothes, but she really should have taken steps to get you out of there. That would have been the biggest help.
That you were able to survive all that mistreatment shows that you are a survivor, not a victim. I admire that. You're also a talented writer and artist too. - Jim

These chapters are part of a book called ghost. In my portfolio under books, it is not finished. It is a work in progress. However, the beginning portions of my life are in there and some stories throughout. Some doctors are a bit about a quarter as I am currently working on it. There will be an end to the misery or has been an end to it as far as the physical portion goes. The ongoing dysfunction of my family has caused me to cut ties completely. I did receive a message from my mother. However, apparently my sister gave her copies of what I'm writing. All she said to me was I made her look bad. I said to her that she made herself look bad. Be that as it may, many years later, my family still behaves in the same way.
And for me, yes, the tap is open now, and I'm afraid it's all coming out now. Thank you again, I'm always happy to receive. Your refuse honored and privileged to have a great day!
