A beautiful tanka for unconditional love with wonderful metaphors to show how rare and perfect the love is.
Beautiful in words and presentation.

Now this is more my speed. I loved the extremes you used as you told of your love. The imagery was perfect. The frozen sun was spectacular. Great poem. Gretchen

Hi MariVal,
firstly, I love the connection of the two tanka's. The strength of your chosen metaphors... moon, sun, universe and starry, compliment the beauty of the first tanka so beautifully... and of course the colour blue features, giving an added feel of emotion in the blue rose reference, but also the way you allow the intention to hang in the sky with a longing through both rarities... my love and then your love, the clever connection to that rareness in... 'as a flaming moon and a frozen sun'. Using the elements as the connection to emotional ties... love that!

This presentation and composition is once again your standard~~ stunning!

Beautiful!

With our thoughts we create...
an alluring appeal of connection.

Warm regards,
James.

I'm happy that you like it. Thank you for the exceptional six stars review.

There's a story about the blue rose.

When I was 4 years old, my parents took me to the theater to watch a fantasy film. I can't remember the title but I still remember the movie.

... In a far-away kingdom long long ago, a king was looking for a husband for his daughter. The king was looking for someone brave, honest, and willing to love the princess with all his heart, more than anyone or anything in the world.

The search went on and on for months until all the men in the kingdom and beyond tried to win her hand in marriage. Most of them were looking for money, power, and were cowards

But there was one young man in the village that secretly loved the princess from afar. He didn?t have money but he was very brave.

The king sent the boy on a quest to find a rear blue rose that grew at the evil witch's garden at the center of a cursed forest full of dragons, goblins, one eye giants... and many more. On top of the monsters the whole forest was covered with thorns. But he makes it and brings the blue rose to the princess. They got married and lived happily ever after... the end. (*<>*)

I love the story because to me it represents true love. I like it so much I have a blue rose tattood on my lower back. I have several silk blue roses at home.

Sorry about that...did I put you to sleep? Hahaha

    Abracitos, guapo

You always pick the best pictures and your poem shows such a strong and passionate love that will always go to the farthest distances to be with the beloved one.

Thank you, big sister. I have fun creating the presentations. I love writing tanka, they are passionate poems that originated in the 8th century. Women are the best Japanese tanka poets.

Good night. I hope you are enjoying time with your grandkids.

    Love
