Thank you Lisa for this wonderful review. I?m pleased that it resonated with you. Sometimes words of a poem or lyrics of a song do that for me and I don?t always know why.
It?s been a tough year and my creative energy seems to have left me. Hopefully, 2024 will have better inspirations for me.
Thank you again and blessings

Yes, I know that feeling... I did not have the best year... I broke my clavicle, and a month later I broke three ribs. Now I am going to get a knee replacement on January 3.
I love to write but that has definetly been far less..and I had to stop practicing piano. Actually, I could not type for months because of my breaks.... But I am the sort of person that always looks at the bright side.
Hope this year finds you healthy and happy,
Lisa xxx

This made me cry it's so sweet. The beautiful person you are shines brightly in this lovely poem. Our memories serve us well in the times of change, I think. Married love is a divine gift.
Sending you my best today as always and blessings to you both.

Moving and beautifully rendered, Janet...
Oh... I do not even want to think about the possibilities that lie ahead regarding my husband and me... We just have to live each day with purpose and love one another immensely...
Your well-crafted poem chronicles the same feelings I would hold for my beloved husband as well.
Stay strong, Janet...
Sending you my caring thoughts and positivity...

This is such a lovely, romantic verse and all the more poignant because the dynamics between you have now changed. I love the way there are slight changes in that last line of each stanza, each time gently reinforcing those special memories. And surrounding these lines, the magic of nature blending seamlessly with that special night. Excellent! Debbie

Your descriptions are so vivid I can almost hear the wind and rambling brook, while crickets chirp. You painted a word picture of a night made for romance. Time flies by so quickly, and all we can do is cling to beautiful memories. You did a great job expressing your memories.

Awesome and powerful poem about the first night you spent together.... it's so romantic. Excellent metaphor and imagery. Beautiful presentation. Sensual but not too graphic. Well done!

What a journey you take us on with these lovely sentiments. It is a poignant celebration of a relationship that flourished through the years, from its budding on that night in June to its full flowering years later. As friends. Beautuful.

Hello Janet,
You've written a marvelous poem with an interesting mono-rhyme
with the repeating last line phrase "night in June."
The imagery and subtle alliteration both work well,
and the theme is one many will relate to.
Beautiful reflections on life and love.
Best wishes.
Robert.

-Your artwork, presentation, notes, and poem are appreciated, Janet.
-I am sorry to hear about the situation you are experiencing.
-Thoughts are with you, and I hope writing your poem helped.
-You use very good nature imagery and a very good repeating line.
-You wrote this beautifully remembering so many special times
you shared, but as you listen to them now, they are memories
"of that night in June."
-Your last two lines say a lot. Thanks for sharing it.
