Lovely poem which captures that feeling of remembering a night of closeness and even if the loved one is far away, they still "share the same sky" and remember the entangling in the night.

Thank you very much, big sister. You are partly right. It's about a couple that live far apart. They have never been together. They share the same sky.
I have a cold so I feel pretty bad. Atticus gave me a cold. (*×*)

I'm sorry! Kids going to school means so much exposure for the whole family. Please take good care! 💖🙏

This made me think about music. Like this should be set to music. It was a picturesque poem. Beautiful imagery. Thank you for sharing your talent. Gretchen

Hi MariVal,
Beautiful Kahlil Gibran quote... felt it!
Much the same as the visual painting you achieved with this stunning Gogyhka poem.
The most attractive is the connection you create between your verse and the reader, 'sharing the same sky'... and I know I'm in paradise, so tick on yet another personal connection.
But what tied this in so beautifully for me is the perfect connection to nature, which also holds me close, as you know.
Truly stunning Reina Gitana Poetsia.
With our thoughts we create...
interconnectedness.
Warm regards,
James.

Thank you, James. I'm happy you like it. It's very special to me. You are right. When I write a love tanka (Gogyohka is almost the same) or free verse, my intent is to create an emotional connection that can apply to any reader, but I get my inspiration from thinking about an specific person, that's how I do it... or my muse does it. For love poems about yearning I use someone I have a crush on. For melancholic love poems of grief I think about a past relationship that didn't work. The important thing with tanka is to write with emotion and passion. I feel a kin connection to Japanese women tanka poets.... that is the way they have been writing poems for three decates. It's really exceptional experience. Grief, love, love, passion, loss has been around forever. With tanka you mix the human experience with nature...or human nature with mother nature. It's a beautiful thing.
Thank you for the exceptional six stars review.... but most of all for your deep understanding.

Thank you for explaining to me the way you create... the emotions that allow you to tap into such a deep connection with your subject... you are a shining star... I know, I watch you gleam, I read you glowing, I feel you dance upon the page.
"You are the sum total of everything you've ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot - it's all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive." ~~Maya Angelou.

Friends share. I wrote another Venus free verse today.... I hope you like it.

Another impressively atmospheric post, Gypsy, which draws the reader into that very sensual place wherever you should take them. The warmth that radiates amid that "earthy musk" of romance is a delight to experience. Thanks for sharing Debbie
