Well, I am completely depressed now. I truly felt the heaviness of his feelings. The weight he carried every day. It was visceral. I could not move. I wish I had a six to offer I do not. This topic will make it hard for others to really consider you since you made them so depressed. This is a very well-written poem, on a very deep subject. Kudos to you. Amazing work.

Ciao!,
You are right, out of 33 views I received only two votes.
I might try next time to talk about joy and happiness.

There are toic that just don't get read. I had to find out that this place wants stories longer than a flash piece in series form. Very few people read"I Don't Really Belong Here" it was almost 9,000 words. A long short story. Those that made it all the way through liked it. But, out of 140 only 9 read it all. There is no accounting for taste. I dare yiu to read mine all the way through! haha Karen

10 now.
My favourite format is 5-7-5 or even less.
Why?
Because it?s a challenge to say something of significance in just a handful of syllables.
When you challenged me to read ?I don?t belong here ?I couldn?t resist
It took me 180 minutes to read it .. and I may add one thing
I?m not a big reader but the topic was compelling and I couldn?t stop.
I read it last night ..
it?s 4.30 am now .

This is a compelling account of depression's inner workings and tenacious hold. Thank you for the depth of your writing, and for coming forth with this sad wisdom.

I don't care for the subject matter, but the poetry is quite clever. The message is clear and very hard hitting, otherwise it wouldn't be doing its job.

Thank you for taking the time to read and review my entry.
Depression is not something most people want to think about, I might choose a more likable emotion next time.

Such a sad tale. Well done for communicating about this desperately important issue in such a subtle and moving manner. I hope that you do well in the competition, but more importantly that your poem can help some people.

Thanks for the kind words.
Depression is not really a topic most want to dwell on hence it only received 2 votes.
I might consider picking a lighter emotion next time.
