This is so totally great! I took me all but a microsecond to figure out this is a play on the saying "The apple doesn't fall to far from the tree". I hope I didn't get that wrong. That would be embarrassing.
This is a really, really good entry for this prompt! 2-3-2 is quite admirable and should do well in the contest.
Love it!

Oops, by the way, the satori you have can be put first. In a shorter haiku they often are
For example...
siblings ~
the apples fall
from the tree
I mentioned that option in the prompt.
Take care,

This was a cute little haiku. I liked your take on fallen apples as siblings. I also liked the picture you supplied. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Nicely done! You've managed this haiku in far less syllables than the 17 but I think you've cleverly got a sense of the tree being a metaphor for the parent and the apple the child which is lovely. Thanks for sharing and good luck! Debbie

Thems look like mighty fine applies hanging from that tree :-)
A good entry for the - worlds shortest haiku - contest. Five words is all is takes to describe a nature scene ripe for the picking. Nicely done.
