It states non fiction from you. It should be historical fiction. My husband had cancer at 13 mos old and they had to remove his left eye barely saving the other. I went blind when my daughter was 13 mos old I lost all sight in my left eye and I prayed because it figured God was trying to tell me something. I left my ex husband then still blind in my eye and with infusions I got sight back but lost it on and off for 20 years from MS. I can see today and my husband who is good too me list his left eye as a baby. He's always worked drives went to college earns a good good living. God would never turn s back on a blind child. I've taught children and teens for thirty years who have had various disabilities. I am aware of God's Power. He doesn't like to see hypocrisy.

Trust me, many people claiming ri follow God are not following God at all .

Best wishes.

Alexandra

Thank you Alexandra for your very thoughtful review and for sharing your story. You are right, there are many hypocrites who have their own ideas about God. But He is loving and when Jesus returns we will all be healed of all our disabilities and problems. Looking forward to that.

This was a great re-telling of the story of the healed blind man. I would like to think I would believe in the miracle, but I guess we'll never know. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I thank you so much Alexandra for your thoughtful review. It is in the Bible so we can trust it is true, along with so many other miracles He performed. The writers had nothing to gain by telling untrue things and in many cases lost their lives because of standing up for what they had seen Him do.
    Thanks again.

Apologies. I actually was thinking of you so no idea why I put A. She must have been the previous one I replied to.

This is a good rendering of John 9. I always admired the once-blind man who could stand up to the Pharisees so bravely. Perhaps he knew he had nothing to lose because he lived being despised all his life. I love how John recorded his story. Thanks for telling it from his parents' point of view!

Yes, he was actually very courageous. He knew what the probable consequences would be. Many thanks for your very positive review.

You've done an excellent job of expanding on a few short verses in the Bible giving us insight into the blind man, and even more to the parents. They did nothing wrong, yet others saw their son's blindness as a result of their sin. How confusing for them, and how harsh. I like that the parents also chose to believe and follow Christ.

Hello Wendy,
Well done on your portrayal of what happened to the blind man and his parents. Isn't it funny that the Jews were longing to see the Messiah, and when he came, they didn't recognize him, even though there were so many miracles attributed to him. It's probably a good lesson to remember that God might show up in the least likely people. Thanks for sharing this gal.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Thank you very much Tom. Very nice review, and thoughtful. Yes, they were spiritually blind, a much more serious problem.

I enjoyed this retelling of the story in John 9 as if the narator was the one whose son was healed. People don't like things they don't understand and can't contro. You told the story beautifully.

Very strong story.
To buck the trend and "Holly men"
Takes great conviction as I know from arguing with people who think the doctor wants their good.
Refusing to investigate and see he is the blind leading the blind.
:-))Z.

Thank you so much for reviewing. Personally I don?t believe one can generalise about any group of people. Some doctors are excellent and very much want what is best for their patients. One always needs to check and think and do one?s own research of course, but they are not always the blind leading the blind. And of course I am not American and it may well be different here. But I appreciate your thoughtful response. It does indeed take courage to be different, and to respectfully stand up for what one believes.

Wendy,
You put yourself right into a moms role with this retelling of the story. I was believing it was you and your family. I felt my blood pressure starting to rise at the way the mom and son were spoken to.

Very well presented,
John

Thank you very much for this super review John. Sometimes a familiar story makes us forget just how dramatic and life changing such things are.

I don't believe that if He Himself walked the streets performing miracles that the majority of people wouldn't doubt what they would see. I mean everything is topsy-turvy. Boys become girls and men loving men is like having performers perform in the temple. I believe He would be as mad as a wet hen.

Once Jesus made a paste and put it on a blind man's eyes - his sight was restored. I have always remembered this parable (I think) of course the Pharisees didn't believe the boy. I loved the way you wove this as a family, around your blind son. Thanks for sharing. K xx

Oh thank you for the six stars. How wonderful. No, my son isn?t really blind, I was just telling the Bible story as if I was the mother of the blind man. (I hope I didn?t trick you into giving me a six!). Many thanks.
