Oh boy is this ever funny... I love parakeets and adore that you added the names of all of them in your creative poem.
I had one called Pudgy wedge when I was in my early 20th...I loved that little bird...

Awful! How did you have the energy to invent all those dreadful puns? This is a most amusing read. (Did you want 'chirpier' at the end?) Very enjoyable and a great photo as accompaniment.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I was trying for a version of 'chipper' but with 'chirper.' I guess 'chirpier' would have worked as well.

I loved that show and birds and tropical places! I like a funny story with some very cute birds and a nice splash of levity which is needed. There's too much darkness in the world, so thank you for this, it's a great submission!

I love parakeets, have owned many, and taught speech to one as well. one laid 32 eggs, then became egg-bound and the vet couldn't save her. At my assisted living situation now, we have an aviary of finches.

Great story for the Animal Crackers Club. You have quite a menagerie. Your parakeets really had themselves quite a time. I'm glad they didn't go to Russia. They might have frozen, or something worse could have happened to them. I would have been a blast seeing them dancing at the disco-peck. I'm glad they are thinking ahead to their next vacation. I love the word play--cheep, fa-keetas, etc. You show that parakeets can be as much fun as cats and dogs. Very enjoyable. judi
