I am so sorry, Diane, for your loss! Your tribute to her is a poignant one that is skilfully expressed in this fine verse. It is also very relatable to me as one of two sisters who have not always seen eye to eye. As in your case, our paths have become increasingly distanced and I find myself wondering, after six years, whether we'll ever meet up again. Your verse has inspired me to try harder, perhaps, because life is very short. Well done, Diane! Take care Debbie

I really help the verse helped you come to terms with it all. Quite often I find there's nothing you can do when people are deeply entrenched in a lifestyle no matter what it is. I've always wanted to resolve problems but, truthfully, some are simply unfixable and leave me very, very frustrated. x

I understand where you are coming from. When my father passed, I tried to contact my estranged sister to let her know only to find out she had passed from Covid six months before. No one had contacted us. I feel bad that we never reconnected. Like you, I hope she found peace at last.
