Lovely picture and poem. How many babies get rocked now? If you wanted that little quip at the end, might I suggest you add,
Does anyone need any half-made potholders? Just a thought. You might check out Reader's Digest, or Chicken soup for the soul as publishers for your poems? Chicken Soup can take up to two years to publish after they buy your work. So, when they buy, hold off on the party for a while.

    I tend to go with irony or a slow twist. Or something unexpectantly funny. This is just how my mind works.

A fine post about a rocking chair passing down through the generations. Those old skills die with our ancestors. I did learn to knit but never had the patience to knit a whole jumper! I enjoyed your entertaining post, love Dolly x
